The Amrit Yoga Institute is located in Salt Springs, Florida, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Ocala National Forest. The property is situated on the shores of Lake Kerr, a pristine spring-fed lake of nearly 3,000 acres and provides direct access via a dock and small beach area. Beneath a canopy of towering Live Oaks, the six-acre campus features lush tropical gardens, stone decks and walkway, a peaceful meditation hall and multiple dorms and cabins for guests. The property a brand new Healing Arts Center that offers massage, ayurvedic treatments, energy healing sessions and many other healing modalities. The center runs programs and retreats year-long in service of our mission to bring authentic yogic wisdom to the world. If you’re not sure about taking a program yet, we also welcome guests for R&R stays via hotel-style online booking.
As a whole, we are so caught up on thinking that we have forgotten the importance of feeling. When you are finally so tired of the proverbial rat race and know you need to just "get away" for a few days ... whether you are searching for a weekend program or looking to expand what you think you know about yourself, this is the place to do it. I originally went as a "drive" home through the Ocala National Forest. I was so captivated by what Gurudev Amrit Desai had to say and it was the spark which fanned my inner flame, encouraging me to think outside of my traditional environment. Originally I went to simply learn more about the 8 limbs of yoga, to see how they could be applied to life off the mat and in a corporate environment. Those 10 days inspired me to go further and become a yoga teacher which lead me to further explore Yoga Nidra and Yoga Therapy. There is something profoundly peaceful about the Amrit Yoga Institute, not just for discovering the inner practice of yoga, meditation or that it's a nurturing place to do that deep inner dive, peeling back the layers of daily life in "the big city" in order to reveal our true nature. No matter what your background or belief system, the moment you step onto the grounds, you can feel the reverence and a hush falls upon your shoulders. You are in the heart of the Ocala National forest, embraced by towering trees, plenty of wild life including the hooting owls at night ... I encourage anyone who has a desire to know the Divine within, enter and explore. World class instructors. Delicious vegetarian and vegan food - you will not go hungry. Heart opening opportunity. Accommodations - now this can push your buttons but that is a good thing. Shared housing is like going back to college again but it's comfy and serves a purpose.

Beautiful Spring, cristal blue water, many fishes, nice for snorkeling. My kids really enjoyed, a little crowded because weekend but big enough for everyone. $6 fee entrance p/p. The only thing we didn't like was the crows around the picnic area, the rest is ok and the spring is gorgeous.
