Destino turístico de Quibdó resguardado por un abundante selva y ríos cristalinos Tutunendo que significa Río de Rosas y fragancias, se encuentra ubicado al noroeste de Quibdó capital del Departamento del Chocó, dista a 14 kilómetros por carretera y por vía acuática a tres horas bajando por el río Neguá, afluente del río Atrato.

Imagine Carnival with threads of religion woven in and you’ll have Quibdo’s Fiestas de San Pacho. Starting at the end of September and running until early October, this festival is a unique blend of religious expression, historical reference and social commentary. Though the festival still honours Saint Francis, the patron saint of Quibdo, with his likeness being paraded down the street, the festival also illustrates the long history of the area and its roots: you’ll hear African music and see traditional garb as the revellers dance through the streets. It's a feast of colour and flavour that you won't find elsewhere.

One of my favorite places is the Malecón. It’s in the center of Quibdó, and this is a very nice place. It is a very nice place to watch the sunset. I go there every vacation. When I am there, it is normally for a walk with my friends, to eat, talk etc. I like it because it is a spacious, attractive, very nice to take pictures and, above all, because it is beautiful to watch the sunset on the banks of the Atrato River.
