Witness Park and Prayer Tower

We always stop and visit the Prayer tower when in town. It's so peaceful and calming and nice cool place to rest from the hot Texas sun for just a bit. Beautiful stained glass and lovely grounds also. We enjoyed the bell tolling too. It's a nice place to take a few moments of reflection in a busy day.

Was only able to see the homestead portion because the other was closed the day we arrived. The homestead exhibit is awesome. Very cool buildings, chickens and old farm equipment. Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in Pittsburg, Texas. Sorry we missed the big indoor exhibit. Looked really interesting.

Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards

Reviewed By larrybO4058RT - Nome, United States

Located in the country side with ample parking. The weather is just cool enough outside for a fire. Fabulous food choices along with a variety of wines. Shared the Tapas Platter and the Cattleman’s Salad. Their Tapas Platter is served with a variety of fruits, meats, and cheeses. Meats include salami, pepperoni, and prosciutto. Also come with a olive medley and grapes along with four types of cheeses, some soft, some mellow, and some firm and funky. Includes seasonal fruits, horseradish pickles, pickled okra and Baguette bread with an olive oil sun-dried tomato dipping sauce. The Cattleman’s Salad consisted of fresh Romain lettuce, shredded carrots, caramelized pecans, Gorgonzola cheese, cherry tomatoes, redo onions, and topped with juicy grilled steak.

A fun place to stop for fresh fruit and vegetables. We had the fresh peach cobbler, it was excellent. Decor is antique and interesting. No AC in summer. Store is usually very busy during the growing season. Staff very helpful and friendly.
