A splendid estate from the XIXth century on the Right Bank of Bordeaux Chateau Siaurac, Lalande de Pomerol, on the extension fo the Pomerol plateau, surrounded by the English-style park. The potential of each chateau’s terroir is enhanced by our technical director, Penelope Godefroy, who comes from the team at Chateau Latour, and is advised by Jean-Claude Berrouet, the former oenologist at Petrus.
This is a beautiful chateau in english landscape style landscape owned by a company Francois Pinault. It was previously family owned so the company is upgrading facilities and going 'bio'.The chateau is currently unoccupied but there may be future plans for a chambre d'hote as it has a direct line in far distance to the spires of St Emillion. Celine gave us well beyond the allotted hour and explained the terrain and grape varieties and concrete vs steel vats and the aging process - lots of information

Vignobles Moncets & Chambrun is a three centuries vineyard located in Lalande de Pomerol in the Néac village. Our 33 hectares cover a land at the crossroad of the most famous Vineyards (Pétrus, Cheval Blanc, ...) and Appellation (Pomerol, Saint Emilion) in the world. The barrel and tank cellars have been totally renovated in 2015 to welcome wine lovers with quality private visits and tastings. We can also use some new winemaking techniques in order to improve the quality of our different wines. The old buildings dating from 1775 will be also renovated to make guestrooms on the first floor and a large elegants/charming room to welcome wine events, conferences and weddings. Come visit us and find out what makes Bordeaux wines so famous!
Excellent wine tour, the young team were really Enthusiastic about what they are doing, very knowledgable and want to engage people in a discussion about how they make wine and their organic approach. Was really impressed, and I’m a bit of an old cynic! Been on a few of these over the years and this was by far the best! Well done to them and I wish them every success! Oh and the wine tastes great!

Beyond my strong interest in the wine industry, I worked in other cities, sectors and countries before returning to the family vineyards and winemaking. Accompanying this activity in this 21st century remains a privilege at the end of the day!
