Highland Diving is a new emerging company. Diving is a serene and peaceful activity Currently, no company is offering its services to divers in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland. We don't have the warm Mediterranean seas, but we do have the unspoiled waters around our coast. Diving for fun?, A course? Equipment servicing? All can be arranged.

Thank you to Andy, who went above and beyond to make our tour fun and informative. We booked the "Singleton" tour and felt it justified the higher cost than the basic tour. After the tour we entered a private tasting room where Andy walked us through three tasty samples, and then we were invited into the main lounge area to finish our whisky for as long as we liked. Andy answered more questions there and shared a lot of whisky expertise with us! This tour also comes with a free rocks glass for each participant.

We had a fantastic holiday at Fairburn. We were there for four nights. We maxed out on all of the activities having one full day and one half day of activities. The team arranged in advance for us to do these because we said before we left what we thought we might like to do. We did Archery, Laser Tag in the forest (which was awesome for kids and adults), kayaking, raft building, orienteering and a very tall rope assisted climb called Jacobs ladder. All of these were instructor-led and Aaron (our instructor) was super cool and interacted really well with everyone in our family despite us all being different ages and genders. Some of them were done with other families ans some just with us four. It was great to meet the other families and my although I am quite reserved the team easily got us all having fun together . Some other things we did were: we shared a night by the bonfire in the forest with one of the other families which was great, we had a full day cycling out from the centre on an easy to follow but spectacular route, my son and I "sessioned" the MTB track and we did lots of little trips to sights nearby (a beach walk to see dolphins, a river walk to see salmon jumping, an evening visit to nearby Inverness and an unforgettable day driving right around Loch Ness.) Food was simple but good, everything was spotless and Covid friendly with the staff taking care to put measures in place to protect guests and staff. This place was great. The best thing was how relaxed everything was. The pace is slower, the internet is limited (but available if you really need it), the team are accommodating and friendly but not pushy and the setting and surrounds are natural and beautiful. Sandy the Manager really looked after us and all the guests. I would go back, it as a great place to get away from work and relax with my family.

Muir of Ord is a heathland/moorland 18 hole course situated fifteen miles north of Inverness and is only twenty miles from Inverness Airport. It is set in some stunning Scottish scenery with clear views of Ben Wyvis to the north and to the south may been seen the Beauly Firth and hills above Loch Ness. The course has shown significant change and improvement since its inception in 1875. In the 1920’s the renowned golf course designer James Braid was engaged and much of what he altered and recommended remains intact to this day. An interesting and challenging feature is the Inverness to Wick and Kyle of Lochalsh railway line which runs through the course adding to the golfers need for accuracy on a number of holes! Wildlife abounds on the course and players may regularly see red kites soaring above the fairways. With the number of players steadily increasing a decision was taken in the early 1990’s to purchase additional land. Three new holes were constructed negating the hazard of crossing what was known as the "Great North Road" to play what were two short Par 3 holes (the old 16th and 17th). This led to the new 9th, 10th and 11th holes on the newly purchased land whilst the redundant Par 3 holes were designated as a practice area. The Club has a small shop selling various items for the golfer and also a bar and restaurant with a warm welcome assured at either the start or at the end of your visit. The Club is also part of the James Braid Highland Golf Trail which has seven member Clubs located in the North of Scotland.
