The Common is owned by Chorleywood Parish Council but is open to the public for air and exercise on foot. It's only a couple of minutes walk from Chorleywood tube station, so a popular spot for groups of ramblers, dog walkers and joggers. A nine hole golf course runs across the common and this is open to visitors for a very reasonable green fee. There's also a cricket pitch and several small ponds. There are many information boards around the common and a nature trail where kids can play on wood sculptures. Also several good pubs around the perimeter so this is a great spot if you want a gentle walk and a pleasant pub lunch. Chorleywood and the common is also a good start point for a longer walk along the Chess Valley towards Amersham and Chesham.

A traditional village pub which has an award winning reputation for serving real ales. Known for social closeness, so we're a bit stuffed at the moment. Currently open for collections only by arrangement, just call the pub number. Wishing everyone a Healthy and Happy Cristmas and New Year! Cheers, Gill & Martin
Lovely traditional pub. Not a noisy town pub. Good selection of beers, combined with knowledgeable staff to help you make the right choice. The pasties and sausage rolls are scrumptious! Beer garden and covered areas outside are a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a pint (or two )
