Went here for a little hike on a gorgeous day and was surprised to find such a great park. Right off I-45, easily accessible, and a great way to stretch your legs during the journey between Houston and Dallas. Paths are well established, there is a 1 mile path around the little lake. And there are a couple more paths, one slightly longer than one mile and one rather short. The lake has a dock and boat ramp. Lots of picnic tables with grills available. There’s a place to wash your feet or to shower when getting out of the lake. Toilet facilities have real flushing toilets! $3 per person for day use of you don’t have a State Park pass, well worth the money.
