Avon (/ˈævɑːn/) is a town in Livingston County, New York, United States. The town is bordered on the north by the town of Rush, New York in Monroe County. Avon is south of Rochester. The population was 7,146 at the 2010 census. The town is named after the river Avon. The town has a village within it also called Avon.

The Avon Preservation and Historical Society became a not-for-profit organization in 1983. Our mission is to interpret and preserve the history of our local area by providing diverse historic resources for the public through free educational programs and our fine museum. We are proud to be located in the historic Avon Opera Block, hosting a treasure trove of artifacts in our Museum.

If you like history, beauty and sightseeing in general, you will like the FIVE ARCH BRIDGE. There is a path that goes down to the water. Swimming and wading is prohibited, but people were in the water, which is not very deep.

Simple put this brewery is one of, if not, the best brewery in the Greater Rochester area. From top to bottom their tap list is incredible and varied - there is something for everyone! The staff is incredible and knowledgeable. If you go on Thursday or Sunday plan on being busy- they release crowlers on these days. A must visit for all beer lovers.

Laid back approach to modern movies... We save lots of money going here with 3 kids and its a blast. Highly Recommend.
