I hadn't been to St. Mary's after its Italianate basilica interior was repainted several years ago. I stopped there with German guests last week, and was delighted — as they were — with the beautiful restoration job that has been done inside the church. The murals and stenciling (done by German artist Fridolin Fuchs in the first decade of the 20th century) are vibrant and were carefully touched up. The results are simply breathtaking. I especially like the careful way in which the details on the old organ have been highlighted with bright contrasting colors, and the beautiful work done on the organ loft, too. Also not to be missed: the spectacular view outside the church, which sits on a small mountain, across the valley below and to rolling hills beyond. We stopped on a Saturday, and the church was open. I would hope it's open on other days, too, in addition to Sunday.

We stayed over night as members of Harvest Host and loved everything about the visit. The lunch was delicious and we ended up taking home the rest of the pie they had made. Ultimately, we agreed our favorite part was an unplanned private tour through the winery. We had taken the pie out to put in the refrigerator and a gentleman walked up to us as we were leaving our RV. He started chatting with us about our RV. We didn't know who he when he asked if we'd like to see where the wine is made. Eventually he stated he was one of the Post family. By the end of our lunch in the Trellis Room, unplanned tour and wine tasting we felt we had been welcomed by friends.

After trying this wine from store in Arkansas last year, we planned a getaway from Oklahoma to visit this winery. It is out in beautiful country tucked back on an old estate. Inside you can gather around for taste testing the atmosphere was awesome, even the smell You get A little Info on wines you select. There are wine accessories , in gift shop area Took small tour of grounds. The fruit wines are our favorite and absolutely the best especially elderberry. We just wish we could find In Oklahoma . A boutique winery tasting room and gift shop sure to please even the pickiest of palates. Dionysus Wine & Brew is located on the edge of Wiederkehr Village, AR nestled in the breathtaking Ozark Mountains. You will taste wine with the owners.
A unique stay. So much larger and more comfortable than a hotel room. Private. Super clean. Pet friendly. The heater kept us more than toasty on a cold night. The sound of the rain on the roof helped us sleep soundly on the comfortable bed. Firewood is provided for the fire pit. Close to all the local wineries. Happy to have experienced my first time in a yurt at Dionysus. Dennis and his wife are friendly and accommodating.

We recently did a wine tasting here and LOVED it. The winery has a large, beautiful tasting room, very personable staff and most importantly a wide range of very good wines. We left with a case! It was a very slow day in the Tasting Room on a cold day in February so we were fortunate to have owner and winemaker Audrey House pour our tasting. We spent more than an hour talking about wine varietals, wine-making in Arkansas and winery history. Audrey is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her craft and has an engaging personality. As someone else said, she is the real deal and an absolute pleasure to talk to.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the restaurant next door first, then came over for a wine tasting and tour of the old 1880 wine cellar. Our guide was very nice, Lisa, and bought some wine and jam to enjoy at home. Also, the drive from I-40 was beautiful.
