This is a wonderful experience for animal lovers of all ages! Where else can you feed ring tail lemurs grapes from a porcupine quill and hold a baby kangaroo? The owners have excellent knowledge of the animals and are willing to answer all the questions children pose. There are picnic tables available. We have been on both the schedule tour and the open weekends. Can't go wrong with either. My grandchildren love to visit the safari when they are here from Massachusetts.Adults shouldn't miss out on the fun of feeding.

Oklahoma Wondertorium

Enjoy memory-making experiences and engage children in creative, developmental play at Oklahoma's newest children's museum, the Oklahoma WONDERtorium in Stillwater. The WONDERtorium offers 14 hands-on, interactive exhibits and playscapes plus special activities weekly. The facility provides 10,000 square feet of exhibit space, classrooms and party rooms, office space and a gift shop. The Generation Station Barn exhibit offers kids the opportunity to 'milk' a life-size cow and collect eggs that can then be delivered to the Generation Station Store, a replica 1900s grocery store. Children can also enjoy pure active play sending scarves and foam balls through A-Mazing Airways, splashing in the Water Play exhibit or climbing a wall, sliding down a tree slide and crawling through a fallen log in Forest Playground. The Little WONDERs exhibit offers a play area for grown-ups with children under two to interact together away from the main exhibit floor. Another popular exhibit at the Oklahoma WONDERtorium is My Medical Center, where children engage in dramatic play by dressing up and pretending to be a patient or medical staff. Patients check in with paperwork and can be taken to the doctor's office where they are measured, weighed and tested for good vision. There's a pretend surgery and recovery area, a human body with removable parts, as well as a nursery where life-like babies are cared for. A special unit block area allows children to learn cognitive skills like hand-eye coordination, spacial perception and problem-solving, as well as the Imagination Playground where children are encouraged to create structures from large foam blocks. Ruth Cavins, Executive Director of the museum, said the focus of the WONDERtorium is on children learning through play. Expounding on focus, Cavins continues, "Children's play is important to healthy brain development because it allows them to use their imaginations, solve problems and interact and cooperate with others. Our exhibits are designed to allow children to create and explore a world they can master, discovering self-confidence and the benefits of sharing and negotiating.

Boomer Lake is very scenic lake with a 5K (3.1 miles) track to jog around, fishing, Frisbee golf, canoeing, covered pavilions, restrooms, annual fireworks show, annual Polar Plunge, and yes, lot of friendly Canadian Geese! :) It's a great place to unwind, soak in the view, have some fun, and/or exercise.
