On an October day I went by ferry to this beautiful island, rented a bike at Soepboer and cycled all around the island. Beautiful excursion for a day to visit all the highlights. Even during corona days! Due to the new regulations it is easier to book a hotel with a restaurant and have the advantage of being ablest stay and eat there.

I recommend stopping here while bicycling around the island, because the views are amazing. Unfortunately, all the signs are in Dutch only so we couldn't learn much about the history of the place, but it was worth seeing it for the views from the top deck.

It's a beatiful lighthouse near the village. You can easily walk to it. Unfortunately you cannot climb the lighthouse! That was disappointing, but still, for a well-kept landmark worth seeing.
