There is no better way to experience the Oregon Coast and all the nature it has to offer than on horseback. First time riders or experienced we provide you with a horse and guides to keep you safe while you take in all the scenic views of the Oregon Coast that you will never forget. The rides start at our exclusive location, 5985 Pacfic Ave Pacific City 97135, where you head directly onto the beach, no roads to cross. You ride the waters edge for half an hour. Then turn up onto the dunes for amazing views and even drop down into Bob Straub park for a bit. Of course the last leg of the trip is back on the beach heading for home base.
We took our niece to Green Acres so she could scratch off one of the items on her bucket-list. She has been wanting to ride a horse near the beach since she was 5!!!! She's 9. : ) Thank goodness she was patient because Green Acres made this little girl so happy. Our guide, Tina, was kind and gentle as she helped her get comfortable. Jordan, from the office, was so helpful and answered all of my questions. She accommodated as much as possible to help make my niece's dream come true. Green Acres made me look like a hero as my niece screamed, "This is the best day EVER!" And I, of course, took all the credit! : ) The horses were well cared for, well trained and easy to manage. We even brought horse treats so we could spoil our horses once we returned to the stable!

Gorgeous beach! Really hope the city decides to prohibit cars on this beach once COVID is over. Loved being able to go on a jog with my dog and not have to worry about fast driving vehicles.

We've been coming to this beach for the past 5 summers. Although it can be busy and cars are allowed on the beach, there are four very special attributes that come to mind. The pristine beach has a tidepool area where at low tide you can find so many wonderful sea creatures you will keep your kids entertained for hours! When the tide is high, I like to just sit on the rocks and watch the beauty of the waves coming in. It is an excellent location for building sandcastles. I have seen so many variations of sandcastles and what's even more heartwarming, so many collaborations take form on the beach through the building of sandcastles. There is an enormous sand dune at the end of the beach which if you can climb, allows for breathtaking 180-degree views of the sea. It's pretty exciting to see the fisherman drive their dory boats in every afternoon with their catch.

This is where it all started back in 1996. Here, in front of a rundown old building at the water’s edge, stood three enthusiastic young folks whose thirst for great beer overshadowed their understanding of what it would take to build a brewery. They did it anyway. Welcome to Pelican Brewing Company and its iconic beachfront restaurant and brewery, where guests are welcomed with beer-inspired cuisines, award-winning beer, and front row seats to all the action at Cape Kiwanda. Cheers, fellow fanatics. This is as good as it gets.
While in Pacific City for 6 nights we enjoyed everything Pelican Brewing Pub & Brewery has to offer daily. The Pacific NW Cioppino is the best we have ever eaten, and their clam chowder is wonderful with a clam in every spoonful! The views are incredible and the staff obviously loves working there. A must stop when in Pacific City.
