And with rooms to hire for meetings, too! Melton Mowbray may style itself the Rural Capital of Food; the museum is the key to understanding how that claim came to be made (Cattle - Cows - Milk - Stilton Cheese (& Butter) - Whey - Pigs - Pork - Pies, from pigs and local flour mills). But it also has really interesting local features on Melton's efforts in the World Wars (Defence Animals Centre, Auster aircraft, etc) and of course the inevitable history of Foxhunting in the Shire Counties. Good opening hours and helpful staff - try it. You won't be disappointed.

Twinlakes Theme Park has endless adventures of family fun packed with variety, adventure and fun for every member of your family. Twinlakes is The East Midland's No.1 all action, family tourist attraction, providing great days out, huge indoor play barns, outdoor adventures and a splashtastic Water Park!!
Twinlakes is a brilliant place for a family day out. I visited with 3 children aged 13, 11 and nearly 6 and each found something that they loved! The eldest enjoyed the rides, especially Excalibur, as she likes a bit of adrenaline. The youngest loved the indoor play areas, which are perfect for escaping from both rain and the midday heat. Middlest loves animals so she really enjoys the farm part. On this occasion we didn’t get to handle anything but at Easter they all held baby rabbits. I just love seeing them all happy - a great day out!
