Come and enjoy a surf lesson in Zumaia with Imanol Yeregui who has been two times Spanish surfing champion. We have the best installations with two changing rooms, with hot showers and lockers. Surf the best waves of the Basque Country, you won't regret.
My girlfriend and I went to Zumaia to learn surfing. We had an amazing time there, after the first lesson Jone told us every bar we should visit in Zumaia and were we could eat good. The lessons were given by a really nice guy who not only learnt us how to surf, but also told us a lot about the waves and the beach. We didn't speak Spanish but that's not a problem for them, they speak really good English. The location of the surfing school is also the best (around 30m from the beach).

The ermita is within walking distance of Zumaia's center. The building itself is quaint. The views spectacular.

The geological formation here is world famous and will intrigue and fascinate even those not familiar with the geological significance. The stratified sedimentary beds are a flysch that arose in a foreland basin at the time of the tectonic convergence of Iberian and European plates that gave rise to the Pyrenees. Game of Thrones fans will recognize the setting as Dragonstone (I had to have this explained to me). The beach is broad and the sea water shallow for a considerable distance.
