Visited this National Trust property which used to belong to Disraeli. The house is interesting and the story of Disraeli's two faiths (Jewish & Christian) was interesting as was the use of the hosue during the second world war for creating target maps of Europe. The volunteer guides were knowledgeable, attentive and interesting. Well worth a visit.

West Wycombe Park, house, was built during the 18th century, (1740-1780), Under the instruction of its owner, Sir Francis Dashwood, 2nd Baronet. It was built in the neo-classical style, very italianate, unusual for English architecture. Very elaborate furniture & decoration adorn its interior, although, when visiting, only the ground floor can be explored, as the upper floors are still occupied by the Dashwood family. The house lies in 45 acres of grounds, with small temples dotted around, making it a very beautiful place to visit. The property was given to the National Trust in the 1940s by the 10th baronet, its open during the summer months, although the grounds can be explored most of the year. The property is accessed via the High st running through West Wycombe village, which is also Nat Trust, in the village, you'll a couple of lovely old pubs & an excellent tea room, the grounds of W W park, does not have a tea room. The house has been used as a backdrop in many tv dramas, including Downton abbey & Cranford. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this beautiful house & its grounds.

I booked the Fairways Suite (upstairs) for a surprise party and I’m so glad I did! The staff were helpful, professional and polite. Emily, who I was in contact with to arrange the event, was helpful and answered any questions. She took time to show me around the venue and gave detailed explanations about what would be suitable in each room. I really appreciate the effort the team put in to make our event enjoyable and manageable! They were clear on what would be allowed (due to current restrictions) and what they could provide. When I arrived to put up decorations (they gave me time to set up before the event) I found the staff had set out the tables, covers and chairs according to my seating plan. They had also hand written the place names for each table which was a lovely surprise and saved me a job! The staff were organised, efficient and friendly. They did a great job serving food and running the bar whilst respecting social distancing measures. We had a fantastic night. Thank you!
