Yardbirds Rock Club

The title reflects the current restrictions of covid and Yardbirds have excelled in trying to get live music back on .everyone welcoming and friendly and have been many times but not in strange times .On entry checked in via app then temperature taken and showed to a choice of tables all with screens between for our safety.Drinks ordered by text and all very good prices with many offers available. The solo gig with Jim Kirkpatrick (fm)promoting his solo album was a gem and even limited to just 50 people it sold out ..Well done to Yardbirds for giving us a chance to see live music

Caxton Theatre

Whilst on holiday in Cleethorpes we decided to attend a production of Play On at the Caxton Theatre and we are very glad we did. The theatre itself is delightful and very comfortable. The Play was very good and very funny - we have not laughed as much for a long time ! The only downside was that the area the theatre is in is not very nice and we were advised by our hotel not to park near the theatre so opted for a taxi. Overall though a very enjoyable visit and one I can recommend if the production is to your taste !

Docks Beers

Docks Beers is a craft beer brewery, taproom and beer shop in an old Church near Grimsby's famous Docks. Our brewing is inspired by our location and the hard work ethic of dockers past and present. We brew our beers on an exhibition brewery which is in full view of the taproom. Visitors can watch the brewers hard at work while they sup a pint chosen from a number of Docks Beers on tap, or a selection of real ales on handpull brewed by our sister brewery Axholme Brewing Co. We also stock a range other brewery's beers, wines, gins, cider and soft drinks. We have snacks - crisps, nuts, cured meats and pickled eggs. If you fancy something more substantial we have a wood fired sour dough pizza menu from Tredici who will deliver pizza to the taproom. Brewery tours and beer tastings are available on the first Saturday of every month. There are four tours 10:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 15:00. Tours must book in advance via our website. Our off-licensed shop sells beers and merchandise to take away.

A fantastic museum to delight all ages. Great interactive displays which give you an idea of being aboard a trawler. The absolute best bit was the tour of the Ross Tiger trawler by the old Skipper. This was amazing. So interesting. A must do if you are in Grimsby.

Grimsby Auditorium

My granddaughter and I visited the Auditorium for the final night of the Blood Brothers tour in Grimsby. What an amazing venue. I was very impressed with the size and acoustics, the seating was slightly restricted but I expected that when I booked. Now knowing the seating layout I will be better informed if I book again. The staff were helpful and there were plenty of toilets, such a surprise and most venues only provide the minimum. Hardly any queueing - ladies you will know what I mean!! Free parking in a very large car park. All in all a good weekend away.
