A small group of us visited the museum and were given a tour of the old Wake Forest campus by the amazing Director and tour guide, Ed. He was kind and thoughtful, and taught us so much history of the university and the area. It was incredible (and honestly a little heartbreaking) to learn about Wake's move from the town of Wake Forest to Winston-Salem, and the impact it had on the town. I walked away from our visit with so much more knowledge than I could have even anticipated. This is a must-do for those interested in local history.

In an escape-room, a puzzle-solving team made up of 2-8 people enters a room based on a theme and has 60 minutes to solve the clues that will “unlock the door.” Within each room are puzzles, clues, and codes that must be deciphered. Wake Escape rooms are great fun for the entire family, blending the best of modern role-playing games with the classic mystery game.
We checked out Wake Escape tonight on a whim and SO glad we did. The game we played was definitely well thought out and the puzzles matched the theme of the room instead of being random. It was a great ending to our evening and we will definitely be back to try the other room(s)!

Stopped by on a super hot day and was treated to excellent beer and service. First, for free, they let me try their coffee stout -- delicious! Then we were able to get great food truck food (such a good bratwurst and my daughter had mac and cheese) and sit at White Street, where I had a delicious pilsner for less than $5! They were super cool about letting my underage daughter hang out and provided pint glasses of ice water! What a great place.

We are a locally-owned independent bookstore in historic Downtown Wake Forest. We sell new general interest adult and children's books as well as book-related gifts (Check out the Poe-ka Dot Socks!)
This is a wonderful local bookstore! The staff are always really friendly. They've gone above and beyond adapting to covid and they make sure everyone in the store wears a mask. I asked for a recommendation for a Christmas present book and they picked a perfect one, the recipient loved it! I've been back since to get books for myself. Definitely check this place out!
