This was one othe the stops on the "Downtown and cultural area circuit" Hop On Hop Off shuttle out of the dock at La Baie. Really did not know anything about it but decided to give it a look. Well worth the 12 or so Canadian (plus tax) for the almost two hours we spent learning about the area and the amazing story of the pulp mill that existed at the site for just over two decades. In it's time at the turn of the 20th Century it was state of the art and quickly grew from one to three mills. The written material was extremely well done - in French and English. Some great early video of the entire process from the timber harvest, moving the cut trees to the mill and the entire process of turning logs into pulp for paper. Several other exhibits were also part of this put we only had time for the one of the areas history. Wish time had permitted to explore the grounds. If you on taking the shuttle and like learning, this is a great stop!
