Siam Smile focuses on a fusion of Thai and Malaysian cuisine and giving you the true South-East Asian culinary experience. Located in Suffolk Road, within walking distance of Cheltenham town centre and with a car park nearby, Siam Smile is ideal for coupl
I agree totally with the previous reviewer. We have been to the restaurant several times before and have always had friendly service and found it to have a pleasant ambience - in fact we've recommended it to Gold Cup guests in the past. but this evening it was like an entirely different place. The waitress was unfriendly, surly, ungracious and made us feel very unwelcome - not a smile in sight. We felt she couldn't wait to rush us through our meal, give us the bill and get us to leave. And not a word of farewell when we went. When will restaurateurs realise that we pay a lot of money to eat out, and it isn't just about being fed, it's about having an enjoyable evening too - and it is the service that makes the difference. Either they have changed their staff or they save the best for the weekends (we went on a Thursday evening and it was pretty quiet....only 3 tables in total). Please take note of this, Siam Smile, or you will find your loyal following will diminish quickly in a town this size once the word gets around. No restaurant can afford to become complacent - there are lots of others springing up around you, including a newish Thai restaurant in Montpellier. The food was fine, but as I say it's just as much about the ambience as the food. I don't think we'll be going back.

The Thai Emerald recreates the warm and friendly atmosphere of Thailand, with enthusiastic Thai staff dressed in beautiful silk, who are always delighted to provide a personal, courteous service in the true tradition of Thai culture. Most importantly, our
First visit. A Wednesday night at 7.45. Absolutely packed. A fairly brusque welcome but they were clearly busy. Spare rib and spring rolls starters were both very good indeed as we're the green curry and massaman. Generous portions and full of flavour. We were served by no less than four different staff members on the night and the food took a while. The staff were friendly but clearly extremely rushed.

We happened upon this place while staying nearby recently. From the outside it looks like a very traditional corner pub - more homely than fine dining but the menu tempted us inside. Fortunately we were fairly early so were able to get a table without booking though it soon filled up. The food was cooked to order, tasty and reasonably priced, service prompt and friendly. Would happily return.

This lovely restaurant was recommended to us by a member of staff at our hotel in Cheltenham. The food was delicious, staff were very friendly and gave excellent advice about food choices. Beautifully clean, great service and value for money. Would highly recommend.

A family run Thai Restaurant by the Jirayingmongkol brothers âNadraweeâ (Head Chef) and âKitâ (Sous Chef) serving authentic Thai cuisine with decades of experienced bringing the best flavours to your plate.
This was only my second visit since this fantastic restaurant opened. Our party of five had 4 different starters and 5 different main courses. Each and every one was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed. Friendly and attentive but unobtrusive staff and the food excellent value for money. With a complementary birthday cake thrown in, this catch up with family and friends turned into a lovely impromptu early birthday celebration. The only downside? I no longer live locally so cannot visit more often.Dear Graham,We appreciate your time and efforts to state your experiences on Trip Adviser, for the benefit of the others. Truly touched by your words of appreciation and encouragement.Further to your tremendous dining experience, you have made additional efforts to elaborate details of our food and service. We are honoured to have genuine patrons like you who acknowledge our endeavour.Looking forward to another opportunity to serve you again.Best Regards,Team Bangkok Kitchen

This seems to be a cafe bar during in the mornings when I called in. No sign of a Thai Restaurant when I had a coffee break there recently. The service was ok and I enjoyed watching the world go by and the coffee and tart were ok. They have an alcohol licence if you enjoy a lunchtime drink. Average.
