Oysters on the menu, $1 on off hours. Lovely service, and surprising good food for an out-of-the-way Japanese restaurant. Both the sushi and cooked dishes were well presented and high quality. Would only get a 4 if it was mid-city, but for this unlikely location it deserved the extra star.

We had a wonderful dinner at Shogun. The decor and atmosphere felt aauthentic Japanese; I especially liked the antique Japanese woodcuts. Service was excellent; portions were perfect. The miso soup is terrific. We enjoyed the shrimp and vegetable tempura, and the una-ju. We plan to return to try sushi and sashimi, and the udon.

Our party of seven (four adults and three children) enjoyed a two course meal at Misono's. The food was good, there were lots of choices, and the atmosphere was nice. Service was ok, we could have used some refills. One note on the spicy pad thai with tofu - the tofu is not cooked as it is at most Thai places.

We eat at his restaurant four or five times each year. We really enjoy both the Japanese and the Korean food offerings. The sushi is excellent. We usually take the easy route of just ordering the sushi regular plate. It comes with miso soup. Sometimes, we order the special maki. In the winter, we really like the gopdol dishes in a hot bowl. It really warms you up on a cold winter day. The restaurant is in the basement and I think that the location turns off a lot of people. That is too bad. The place is a gem. Of course, that makes it easier for us to get a seat!

Visited with my Family, the food was delicious, the service wonderful and the restaurant was festively decorated for the Yuletide Season. All 3 dinners were wonderful and will definitely revisit the restaurant the next time I am back in the Newton and Boston Area.

We had a very good, early dinner at Aji Sushi Bar. Service was excellent; portions were large; everything was well prepared. Miso soup was good; salad nice. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was excellent; unaju was very good; the maki combo was outstanding. We'll definitely go back!
