By far the best sushi place in Santa Clarita. Coming from Seattle, I was really pessimistic about the possible sushi offerings here in California. But I've got to say I was most pleasantly surprised in the quality, value, and friendliness in this small, yet cute, sushi hideout. They have Karoke on some nights as well. If you stop by, tell Song, the waitress that I sent you! ;)
If you are in the Mood for traditional Sushi this is the place you will not find strange named rolls here but you will find traditional sushi and very fresh fish. If you like traditional food and would prefer to be at a table Order a boat for two for a family of four and take home left overs. Cost Under $30 a person for Sushi, Traditional food about $14 a person and up. I have been going here for over $25 years.

I went to Sushi California with some of my friends, and enjoyed the experience. The food is good, some of the sushi is great, and I'd be happy to return. The problems included service. Our waitress left on a "break" but never returned, and it was obvious that no one else picked up our table, so we had to keep asking for service and to order more food & drinks. That was very annoying, but I might assume, or hope, that this is a one time weird thing that happened. I saw the Happy Hour menu, and it looked inviting. All of the sushi offered was about $2 off of the usual prices. I think this could be the only Japanese restaurant in Canyon Country that offers a Friday Happy Hour.

Not fancy, just good, fresh sushi at reasonable prices. You can't go wrong here. It's fun to sit at the counter and watch the guys make up the rolls. Service is pretty fast and the servers are friendly.

Food is a modernized Chinese cuisine. A little on the pricey side for Chinese food however this is an Americanized version of that cuisine. The hip up to date decor is a big upgrade from your typical cheap Chinese restaurant. This chain elevates Chinese cuisine to a different level of experience. For value you definitely are paying for the decor with your meal. Food is average but presented very stylishly. Again decor! Am sure they do well providing a good dining experience by titilating the senses with their high end overall presentation. Still I would recommend this place for the experience.

I really enjoyed some of the fresh for the day offerings on the blackboard. Very fresh and tasty rolls with real crab and lobster.
