Excellent sashimi and sushi restaurant. It's about 5 minute taxi ride from train station. Don't walk very easy to get lost. Owner is very nice and speaks a little english. Very fresh local seafood worth the effort to seek out this place. Reasonably priced and a wide variety of dishes.

My wife and I had sushi dinner on one weekday without reservation. Since this is a small restaurant and all the tables were occupied by the people with reservation, we were seated at the counter. The window behind the owner chef is designed to give you a nice view of Amanohasidate. The set menu came with either 11 or 13 pieces of nigiri-sushi with miso soup for about $30 or $40 per person. There were very few other options without reservation. The sushi we had were very fresh and the way he prepared the rice part was beautiful with subtle softness. Highly recommended. The owner chef told us that he had opened this establishment some 10 years ago with the intention of preparing sushi with the best possible local ingredients. He gets his fresh fish from fishermen from the Yoro region, some 20 or 30 minutes away by car, of the Miyazu Bay.You must be driving to get to Sesshu-Ann and it might be difficult to locate it as the sinage along the highway are given only in Japanese. It's about 25 minutes from the JR Amanohashidate Railway Station area or less than ten minutes from the Fuchu region proper by car.Besides dinner, lunch is also offered on a daily basis, but reservation is necessary, especially on weekends and national holidays.
