I had always heard good things about Shoguns and have always wanted to go. Yesterday was my birthday, so hubby and I decided to go. When we entered, the gal behind the sushi bar(?) yelled something at us (later we figured out she was saying Hibachi - but for first timers, had no idea what she was talking about.) So, they seated us at regular booths. We looked at each other and husband asked if they still did the cooking at the tables. So, they re-seated on the other side of the restaurant in a dark room. so, we finally get seated, ordered drinks and placed our orders. They brought out the salad (runny, but tasted OK), and the soup which I liked.Well, about 15 minutes later, a family with 3 little kids come in and are seated at our 'table' around the grill. OK, was not thrilled with the that, but hey, we were here for the experience. Another 10-15 minutes the other family gets their sushi and other things they ordered, and waitress placed a big bowl of steamed rice in front of me. Great, food must be coming soon.Nope. Meanwhile, hubby finishes his beer, and another 10 or so minutes go by. The people that came in and filled another grill area starts getting their show. Hmmm, we were there a good 30 minutes before they came in.So, we decided to leave. They charged us for the drinks and we left. Won't be back.

This is our second visit in two years. We ordered Beef Don ($13.95), Chicken Teriyaki ($15.45) and Beef Teriyaki ($21.45) from the Hibachi menu, California Roll ($4.75), and Mixed Tempura ($8.75, shrimp and vegetables, asked for more sweet potato and less broccoli which they accommodated). The Teriyaki entrees come with salad (basically just lettuce and dressing) and either miso or onion soup (we prefer the onion). My favorite part from the tempura was the sweet potato, but I probably shouldnât have gotten the tempura as my meal as it was too many items that were fried. Would have been a nice item to split as an appetizer (which it is intended for) with others. Overall, the meal was good, but probably not anything I would crave. Entrees also come with white rice or fried rice ($1.50 extra). Our server was very attentive and ensured our drinks were always full and kept the table clear through the different courses. Total cost with 20% tip was $95 for 4 people.

The Food is outstandingly scrumptious and service is Best. You want be sorry you ate at this Chinese restrurant. They very clean and you tell a lot by the restroom be so clean. We will be back and so should you.

3. Ginza Japanese Restaurant

Food was about average for Japanese restaurant. Sushi rolls seemed a bit smaller than normal competitors. Possibly cutting back to hold prices down. Restaurant was very clean and seating was nice. Service could use improvements. It was highly recommended but highly overrated. I doubt if I will stop here again. Can do better elsewhere.

Edojin offers really good sushi and sashimi, prepares well and served in a somewhat timely fashion. The establishment charges a modest corking fee for its BYOB customers, and usually the service is amicable enough. However, with the ever-increasing number of sushi options in the area, this restaurant struggles to overcome its strip-center ambience.

Tomiko has a very nice decor and great staff. We enjoy everything that we have tried here. On this trip it was Miso Soup, Seaweed Salad, Tempura, Grilled Chicken Skewers, and Assorted Sushi and Sashimi.Very fresh and flavorful. Excellent Presentation. Good pricing. Plenty of Parking.
