Turku (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈturku] ( listen); Swedish: Åbo [ˈoːbʊ] ( listen)) is a city on the southwest coast of Finland at the mouth of the Aura River, in the region of Southwest Finland. Brahen Kellari, the oldest cellar restaurant in the city, is situated in heart of the modern Turku. Friendly, relaxed athmosphere, an excellent blend of Finnish and International flavours as well as cheerful, homelike service welcome you always at the Bra
Over the years Brahen Kellari seems to have maintained its standards and thereby it's popularity among patrons. We visited the restaurant for dinner and was again presented with an excellent meal, a good bottle of wine and an efficient, discreet and friendly service. The reindeer starter was delicious, the fish main course cooked to perfection and what rounded off the meal so delightfully was a well made Irish coffee. Without a doubt this visit was a very pleasant occasion and providing the quality of the food and service remains high I will be back on many more occasions.

We visited Grill it! Marina's terrace for drinks 3 times in July during our Turku trip. This is one of our go-to places as it's perfect for enjoying a summer day, having coctails and people-watch. The hotel is right by Aurajoki river and the location is perfect. There's a little terrace bar outside where you can order but also you can go inside and order at the main bar (better selection there too). Two of the times we had our dog with us and he was most welcomed at the terrace. Water bowl was provided and one night there was a waitress who was absolutely in love with him, came over to pet him many times and gave give him a treat. :) Dog was happy.
