Reviews on Steakhouse food in Meridian, Mississippi, United States. Almost entirely destroyed during the Civil War, Meridian was rebuilt between 1890 and 1930 in a boom known as "The Golden Age." This legacy still stands, leaving the city with not just one, but nine registered historic districts. Attractions include the carefully restored Highland Park Dentzel Carousel, dating back to 1909 and still offering rides for just fifty cents each, and the Hamasa Shrine Temple Theater, featuring a massive 778 pipe organ that is one of only two still in existence.

If not for our wonderful server, this would have been a 1-Star review. Ate here because a friend wanted a buffet. Looks as though it was built in late 1970s and they never touched the building since. Needs to be demolished...not worth remodeling. Salad bar was okay but hot food was mediocre at best. Only thing in the building that was less than 30 years old was the ice cream machine. Will not stop here again. No way.
Divine Wine is small, and the atmosphere more like Cheers! than any snooty place--but is still classy. The owners are well-versed in wine and offer tasting nights, classes and nights with live music. One can nosh on some very good cheese plate combinations while sipping and visiting with the eclectic crowd. There is beer available as well, and Divine Wine is becoming a destination stop for many in the Boise/Meridian Idaho area. Like Cheers! of TV fame--the attitude is "stop by and say hello".

Was visiting town for a football game and a friend recommended this place - GREAT recommendation. Itâs a great local non-chain place. The steaks are great, as well as, the salad bar. The service was very good and the prices reasonable. Would definitely go back here when back in town.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and they appeared to be very understaffed. The hostess was indifferent, and it was obvious she had zero interest in being there. Dumped us at a table with one menu and one set of silverware for two people. We set there for about five minutes before a waiter from another area appeared curious enough to check on us. He went and found our waitress, apparently the hostess didnât let her know she had seated us at her table. The food was the typical good Outback quality and the service improved after the first bad impression. Hopefully this was just some staff having a bad day.

Meridian's home for USDA Prime Steaks and fresh seafood. Our Lounge opens at 4:00, and The Dining Room opens at 5:00 Monday through Saturday.
The food was very well done (the asparagus some of the best Iâve had) with generous portions and the service was attentive. There was light, interesting live music on the Saturday we went. The prices are reasonable for the quality received. We will go again.
