Nice and quite place to have some good Cajun food. Wife ordered the stuff fried catfish and I ordered the crawfish étouffée. Fried catfish was a good portion and really stuffed with a lot of crab. Wife had a choice of a side dish and she chose the red beans and rice that came in a small dish and was very tasty. As for my dish it came with a lot of small delicious crawfish meat and on top of the steamed rice. The seasoning they used on the vegetables and crawfish was delicious. Service was friendly but a bit slow which was fine because we werenât in a hurry.

My wife and I normally go to Texas Roadhouse but on this particular night the place was slammed so we decided to drive over to Longhorn. We normally go to TR since prices are a bit lower and we also like the yeast rolls and of course the free peanuts while waiting. Unfortunately TR has some major drawbacks ; very loud and steaks are always to salty. I often have to send steak back since it is normally undercooked. We drove about 5 minutes to the Longhorn and were seated immediately. By the time we finished our meal there was a wait for a table. The Longhorn décor is much better and you can talk without shouting. It is more like a restaurant and less like a sports bar like TR. My wife got the Ribeye for about $20 and I got a half rack of baby back ribs for about $17. Meal comes with a small loaf of bread, salad and 1 side item. The taste and quality of her steak was excellent. My ribs were also cooked properly and seemed to be of good quality. We had baked potatoes as sides and the house salad which was large. Salads came out quickly and food took about 20 minutes . Since the place was completely full we thought that was a reasonable wait time. Service was ok considering the number of people in the restaurant. Everything was done right the first time which is what you expect when you eat out. From now on we will go to Longhorn as our first choice.

Another birthday free appetizer dinner with the added bonus of Texas Roadhouse contibuting 10% of our bill to the northshore foodbank. I had the Side-kick ofRibs that is usually good and again last night. This Texas Roadhouse periodically supports various community fundraisers, including High School sports in the past, by contributing a % of your bill. Call ahead to organize for your organization. The food was good although not very hot when it was served and several things we ordered were not brought out until we inquired about them after other food was served. They ultimately got it straight, but we sdhouldn't have had to ask:"where is the potato" or "where are the side-kick of ribs" to get them served a considerable amount of time after the other food was brought out.For my wife and I we had:- a 6 ounce sirloin with shrimp- an 11 ounce sirloin Both good but not hot.The two Sam Adams Summer Ales helped smooth it all out.And otherwise a nice relaxing dinner with plenty of peanuts when we first sat down.

There are two Gallagher Restaurants, one in Covington and one in Mandeville. So if you make reservations be sure you confirm the location. The one in Mandeville named 527 was hard to find next to a strip mall. The important thing of course was the service and food. Excellent on both counts from the shrimp remoulade to the cream brûlée. You canât go wrong here. The owner came to our table to welcome us and gave us the dessert complimentary. We will be back!

What a memorable night this made for five men who had not been together in over 40 years!!! Service was impeccable and spot on!!! From the moment we were seated until we left as the restaurant was closing. We were never hurried; our food was delicious beginning with appetizers (the onion rings were the largest I've ever seen), stuffed mushrooms, and hot, fresh from the oven bread! From filets, to surf and turf to ribeyes to coffee and dessert! Service for a party of 10 can be overwhelming but this crew had everything under control even as the men chatted on one end and the women on the other. I don't now if anything will top this evening.
