Stayed here for 2 nights as part of the Rocky Mountaineer package, and was fairly unimpressed all round. If I hadnât been travelling here as part of a prepaid package tour I would have checked out after the first night. The big issue was noise - from the people above and on 1 side and even the store room which was located in front of my room. Thin walls! You could hear people talking in the bathroom next to my bathroom, and as my room was on a corner with a walkway around the corner I got noise there as well. But thereâs more- For some weird reason the room was really hot and stuffy, even though temps at night got down to 3degrees c. So they turned on the rickety a/c to cool down the room which meant it sounded like a freight train was running all night. Couldnât open the windows to get cool air because of the lack of security screens - just pop out fly wire screens. So sweltered in a hot bedroom for 2 nights.A few more annoyances such as no milk provided - just coffee whitener powder, and the outside lights from 2 corridors shining into the bedroom all night just made it an unhappy stay all round. Two positives - the bed was very comfortable and the mountain views outside the rooms spectacular . But thatâs not enough to make up for the rest.

A classic chophouse showcasing wild game, organic meats and local seafood. A rich and cozy atmosphere with a roaring fireplace and live music. The perfect place for an authentic Canadian Experience.
Dined at the Nook during a recent stay at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. The setting was old-school clubby and comfortable, and the service pleasant and efficient. The menu was short but nicely chosen, with something for everyone. My apple and fennel salad was crisp and well-prepared, and my companion praised the corn bisque. The osso bucco with scallops was fork-tender and perfectly accompanied by generous veggies. The sea bass was also termed solidly good. Would recommend.
