Our family selected this restaurant on our last night in Brisbane. We were extremely pleased with both the quality of our steak-tender and delicious-and with our waiter, Jon. Jon was an excellent waiter. His recommendations really hit the spot. The food was to perfection. Great restaurant and great waiter. Highly recommended!

A âcountry comes to cityâ spirit inspires Six Acres Steakhouse to deliver outstanding âpaddock to plateâ experiences, with a classically simple menu showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients to ensure optimum flavor.
I ate here recently and thought it was average. The food was okay, the service was okay, the decor is the best part. What I hate, and I am sure I am not alone, is that a main meal (steak) comes with no side! You get just a piece of meat on a plate. That is not a main, that is a joke. Put a baked potato, a scoop of rice or a baked tomato on there, but give the customer something more for his $40. I ordered a side for $9.00 which was far too big, so others had to help me finish it. I noticed a lot of other diners dealing with the same issue. I understand the idea of keeping your dish prices low, but this reminds me of the lunch shop guy who does not put much chicken on his chicken sandwiches to save a few cents, pretty soon he has no customers. But at least he saved a few cents. WRONG. Put more chicken on there and people will keep coming back. Remember its all about the customer. Thanks Ross m, We appreciate all feedback from guests, we previously did have a side with our steaks however people continuously wanted to change due to a variety of reasons, so we dropped the price and gave people the option to choose themselves. We now put a little something extra on our grilled items which changes Daily as you suggested baked tomato, onion rings ect... We do appreciate our customers feedback and look forward to welcoming you back again in the futureRegards

My business partner and I treated one of our staff to his ideal Friday lunch (a great steak) and we were not disappointed - you know it's good when you're still thinking about the taste/flavour of everything you ate on Saturday morning! Charlie is brilliant - I've been served by him before on previous visits and yet again, he was of great assistance to me as a meat novice! I absolutely love the decor and being in a beautiful antique building - how I loathe the usual soulless surrounds of a modern restaurant. I'll be returning for sure every chance I get. From a work perspective, it's perfect for a carnivorous business lunch - but I imagine equally so just for a relaxed great meal.Hi,Thank you so much for your fantastic review. We're delighted to hear you had such a wonderful time and continue to dine with us.I will also be sure to pass on your comments to Charlie.Look forward to welcoming you back soon!Kind Regards,The Moo Moo Team

We were a group of 20 and had a dedicated room for dinner. The set menu had four choices for each of entree, main and dessert - all high calibre but described in esoteric language rather than plain English!Everyone enjoyed their meal, the wines were excellent, and the desserts exquisite, although half the diners had left by the time dessert was served more than 2.5 hours after our arrival.Hi, Thank-you for taking the time to review us. We are glad you had a delicious meal however we will pass your comments about the slow service on. We hope that you visit us again soon for another great feast.

A disappointing visit to the Black Hide, food was warm not hot. When you are paying big money for a steak you at least expect it to be piping hot. Annoying that you have to order sides, only the steak and a blob of potato comes on the plate. Bread roll was tough. Steak was cooked as requested medium rare and the Shiraz we ordered we really enjoyed. The table service was good but hard to understand the lady with her accent. We wonât be back anytime soon. Dear Wendy R,Thank you for dining at Black Hide and leaving your review. It greatly disappoints us that you were not satisfied with your dining experience. We are also disappointed to hear that your steak was not served at a temperature of your liking. We ask all our diners to communicate to our friendly and helpful staff at the time of dining if they have any questions or concerns about their order. Please be assured we take this matter very seriously, and have passed your comments on to our restaurant manager to review. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to make your next visit a 5-star one.Sincerely,Black Hide.

We went here for dinner tonight and it was absolutely fantastic! We worked our way through the starters menu with the garlic bread, bisque, cauliflower blue cheese soup, followed by foie gras to share and then the seafood - avocado tian. All absolute winners. We had Elisa explaining and recommending the different dishes to us and we couldn't have been better looked after. After that we should have stopped but we moved on to Irish coffee, Frangelico and desert. We will definitely come back!
