This restaurant was recommended by a local who actually walked us there. It is air conditioned, no outside seating. But the meal was delicious, well presented, very fresh and served by helpful, friendly staff speaking good English!

I wanted to look for an affordable typical non expensive restaurant at Jaco and I found Pura Vida Restaurant. The food was delicious and not expensive at all for the price of $13 us you can eat for two and diverse type of foods meaning in one plate you can serve fish, chicken, pork, beans, stew etc and all that it comes to $6 u.s. The staff is very nice.

If you love Argentine beef, here is likely as close as you will get on tne South Coast of Costa Rica to a genuine Portano parrilla. The proprietor is Portano. The decor is Bâaires Portano, right down to a replica statue of Malfalda, the original on the cornor of Chile and Defensa in San Telmo. The steak is tender, succulent Argentine beef. The wine list completes the illusion with an ample array of Mendoza tintos. So, whether feeling nosralgic for the Pampas or simply desirous of a good cut of beef, do treat yourself. You can if you wish, even sing along as did one gentleman my last visit, with the strolling musicians, perhaps encouraging them to move the tempo away from Mariachi to Tango. Most people would miss this treasure. Down an ally in Jaco, CR, not much to look at but the food was awesome. Fresh, well prepared and plenty of servings per dish. Presentation was a bonus.Started out with a refreshing fruit smoothie, ended with awesome verity of Costa Rician food flair. Place is small and open to the street but that adds to the character of Establishment. Enjoyed talking with the owner while waiting for our meal. We learned a few things about Life in Costa Rica. Can't wait to try it again

They offer a variety of options for breakfast, all of nice size and affordable prices! For lunch we had the whole fried fish, decent size fish with 2 side options, highly recommended! The staff is very friendly and enjoyable to talk with and the best thing of all, this restaurant is pet friendly!

Fusion of national and international food, located on the beach. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets and special happy hour every day, and food for all tastes from seafood, barbecue, gluten free food and special menú for chindren.

Vista Hermosa Restaurant looks like any other restaurant for from the road; however when you walk inside you get spectacular views in a great, bar / restaurant setting. We had a selection of dips with tortillas and for mains, I had a FABULOUS shrimp with rice. The Pina Colada was superb and the choice of beers were amazing. The tuna (my husband's choice) was the most amazing cut of Tuna I've ever seen. The flavour was just utter freshness. Service was excellent and as mentioned, the views were just what any beach lover needs to cure the soul. Highly recommended - I don't usually do restaurant reviews (mostly only hotels) however Vista Hermosa Restaurant deserves a mention. If you are passing between Manuel Antonio and the airport or the Arenal area, it's a very convenient stop off.
