Having dined the night before in the formal surroundings of our nearby hotel we strolled down into Capitolo looking for something a little less stuffy and were delighted with our discovery. Lovely setting overlooking the sea and cracking atmosphere as a lively mix of customers - couples, family groups, friends - made for a buzzy atmosphere and the no-nonsense staff concentrated on keeping the dishes flying out of the kitchen with a smile. Fish to the fore as you would expect, but plenty of choice and we enjoyed everything about our meal including the 'pre-dinner drink' in the unprepossessing cafe which fronts the street. We walked back up the hill well fed and with a very warm feeling.

The title of this piece speaks volumes. Nice atmosphere, a waiter run off his feet (so can't hang around for too many niceties) very respectable local food all at a very reasonable price. Oh and the complimentary ricotta cake that they gave us was fabulous - like a Jewish cheesecake made to the highest grandmother type traditions. I will return.

This place is a hidden gem when it comes to sea food. It is really fresh food serving different kinds of dishes including oyster, octopus, salmon and raw fish. It is a family environment and definitely worth the visit when visiting Fasano city and other cities around.

I've been to this family owned restaurant many times over the years and it continues to be a great place to go for well-prepared, traditional Puglian cuisine. Set in an underground cellar with high vaulted ceilings, the cozy dining room is comfortable and the service is friendly, professional and helpful. Prices are more than reasonable considering the quality of the offerings.

We eat here one evening. It is a family run restaurant. The food is good, especially the fish, but nothing spectacular and the set up fairly small. There are few accompaniments with the meals so going with a pasta based dish is a good option. The service is a bit rushed, their English is poor so if you have any allergies you need to be careful. The ambience is buzzy but the chairs not that comfortable tables not very big and its all a bit cramped. There is a very small bar but no nice area outside for pre-dinner drinks. I think this would be better for lunch than dinner, depending on your expectations.
