The flank march takes you on the trail of Jackson's corps as it marched to outflank the Union army at Chancellorsville in 1863. You can visit by car or get hardcore and walk the whole route, more than 10 miles.

Visited Fredericksburg to see Civil War battle sites The first we saw was Chancellorsville Battlefield. The Visitor Center was very interesting and had a lot of displays. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Learning the history of the battle and seeing where Stonewall Jackson was said to have been shot was extremely interesting, as was other information about him. I highly recommend visiting this site as well as the other battlefields in and around Fredericksburg.

Wilderness Run Vineyards is a farm based vineyard and winery in that offers live music, events, wine tastings, and a beautiful scenery to enjoy, with it's sister company, 1781 Brewing Company, located on the same property.
Beautiful farm with history, beer, wine, cigars, thunder storms and friendly staff. We went on a hot Thursday evening during July and enjoyed a bottle of their tasty Barolo blend along with quesadillas from the onsite food truck. My husband enjoyed a cigar purchased on site also in a section a smart business partner named Jen has set up in a former cargo container. A clever configuration opens up onto a covered patio with outdoor rugs and couches over the grass, where cigars can be enjoyed at your leisure. Jen pointed out a civi war plaque which marks the site where Stonewall Jackson had the emergency amputation of his arm.
