Very good Portuguese cuisine. I tried the shrimp risole, a cod croquet and for the main course I ordered pimientos del Padron and sardines. The pimento I think had way too much salt, I try to tell the waiter but he insisted that was the way of cooking them (which I know is not). I don't know if people try to eat for free or what happens, my intention wasn't to eat a few and give them back for a refund it was a critic based on being barely eatable due to the salt excess (you can check the pictures). The sardines in the other hand were outstanding, really nice grilled and superior quality fish, if you go and like them it's a must. I had a carafe of those green wine (vinho verde) that also was nice and very refreshing.Very affordable price for the food, just bear in mind is a small place so you'll have to arrive early or maybe wait for a while to be seated.

Despite being residents of Porto for almost two years, we hadn't previously visited Terreiro. We visited on this occasion with a friend who was visiting Porto, and we will surely return now that we have experienced it.We had made a reservation and were seated in the outdoor area, which provided views across the river to the illuminated Pilar Mount in Gaia.Service was excellent! Our waiter patiently explained some of the dishes for us and gave advice on the wine. For our main courses, we ordered the osso buco, seafood rice and sea bass. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. My osso buco was extremely tender and tasty (highly recommended). The osso buco and the seafood rice were each served in pots with lids, which helped to keep the food warm on a cool evening outside. The serving sizes were very generous indeed. The fish came as two sizeable steaks, which the waiter trimmed at the table, removing the bones and skin, which was very much appreciated by my wife. The combination of tasty food in large portions, excellent service and a nice view combined for a very enjoyable evening.

This is a nice restaurant. It did not earn a five because to compare against all the other wonderful restaurants in Porto we were a little on top of each other eating. We could touch bodies on all sides with our neighbors. Despite that we had a tasting meal of fresh fish and a large salad. Service was attentive.

Unless you know about it youâd never discover it. 3Euro Uber ride from central square. Small but food is best iâve ever had. Seafood and rice (like paella) big enough for 3-4 people. Potato/collard soup wonderful. Waiter is son of owner his mother is the chef. Speaks perfect english, french and Italian. Itâs along the river but not really a view to speak of but youâre going for the food!

We were staying close to Terra Nova and were searching for places nearby with good reviews. We were able to make a reservation on short notice and were not disappointed. The restaurant itself is quaint and comfortable, and the outside seating area has amazing views of the Douro River. I initially wanted to sit outside, but there was nothing available, so we sat inside. As soon as something opened up, the staff offered to move us outside, which I feel like is atypical once you are already seated and halfway through your meal. This shows how great the service was. I believe it was the owner who then took the time to get to know us after our meal, asking where we were from and how we enjoyed our meal. The food was AMAZING; honestly one of the best meals I've had in all of Europe. Great price for the portion size and every single dish we tried was delicious. I'm still dreaming about the mushroom risotto.

Very small venue, about 15 seats, often queues. I would suggest booking, only by phone. Brilliant personal service, by enthusiastic waiter (owner?). Very decent price.Food - everything we tried was excellent - shrimps and sausages in the pan, burning salt fish - actually comes to the table with metre-high flames! Very good wines at modest prices. They will recommend things if you ask. Useful English spoken. No faults or doubts here. Just book it!
