My wife and I went there for dinner. The place was busy so we assumed the food would be good. We were wrong. My wife ordered a red wine and it arrived warm. The waitress said they had just washed the glasses and the wine was stored in a hot area of the kitchen. The food was greasy and cold. If the food had been as warm as the wine it would have made for a much better experience. We will not be going back.

A dinner with good friends. Reservation worked well, receptions was friendly, as was also our waitress. Food was guaranteed quality, no Michelin star quality, but really good.Happy hour, however, was not a real happy hour (better to read the small print), as ordering a bottle of wine did not result in another bottle free, but at full price.

the service and hospitality of this restaurant was great.plenty of menu options for everyone!love the presentation of the appetizers and dinner plates.love the buffalo sauce shrimp appetizer and the salmon stack.my steak - ordered it medium rare - had a great flavor but it was over cooked, more to the medium well side.my friend steak was also over cooked . he also ordered medium rare.but everyone else dinner choices were cooked great.loved the atmosphere and the service was just great.

This place is kinda out of the way but worth the trip. The prices are not outrageous for seafood. The atmosphere is old school Florida and very casual.We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Some got there early and they had a large table for us.Menu: there is an adequate selection. Seating: TablesCleanliness: cleanDress: casualBar: No but they do offer beer & wineSome order appetizers: Alligator Bites which they said were good and Onion Rings which were plentiful and great.I ordered the pick 3 seafood consisting of shrimp, scallops and cat fish. It was great and I had some for lunch the next day.Everyone was pleased with their meals.The staff were super nice and frequently refilled beverages.SOME FYI:- There is just one ladies and one men's bathroom at this restaurant. They are clean.- Parking is limited but there is parking across the street on grass.- Only saw one handicapped parking place.

The Shrimp Boat has become one of our favorite Places to eat in Brandon. The food is consistently good and the staff are always nice. Our favorite is the 3 course meal they offer. It includes a selection of appetizers, main course and dessert. The Lobster Bisque is delicious and we like the Cesar Salad which has great flavor. For a main course the Shrimp & Scallop Fried Rice is our favorite. It is a little spicy but we like that.My husband LOVES the Carrot Cake and often gets ot wrapped to go so he can enjoy it later.Restaurant Appearance - Contemporary and very niceReservations - The\y offer Call AheadStaff - always pleasant Wait to be seated - we did call ahead and were seated immediately. So the soup sat getting cold as we finished our salads. Then the main course came before we finished our soup so it sat getting cold as we finished our soup. Possibly we confused the kitchen by adding the additional soup but they kitchen should have been able to compensate for this in their timing of the meal. Selection/Variety - Very goodBathrooms - didn't use Parking - PlentyAgain, the food & staff are great but the kitchen needs to work on its timing. Next time we will keep control of the food delivery by not ordering everything at once.

We were lucky enough to go when Rainbow Trout was one of the daily specials. Perfectly cooked and a much larger portion than I expected. My partner had the Red Snapper and he said it was excellent also. Also had the steamed oysters as an appetizer, which were also very good.
