I have eaten here on several occasions since this opened it was better early on. Food has been getting too Greasy and today (05-31-2014) was Not Any Better. Time to retrain the Employees in Food Preparation. Yes, I know it's considered a fast food restaurant with its KFC partner in the same building, but It's food is going Downhill. They are either cooking their fish too fast that it doesn't cook through properly or After its Fried and placed in the plastic Bins/Drawers they draw from to put together the order; it's Developing took much moisture in the drawer and steaming up too much making it mushy. There is way too much grease saturated in their fish and chicken. The frying oil in the Deep Fryers must not be monitored closely; since it sometimes seems to add a bad taste to the seafood (burnt smell). I preferred it when the order was prepped when it was ordered instead of the Seafood or Chicken Planks being fried ahead of time and sitting in the plastic bins/drawers they place it in. I brought home some food and had lined the box with napkins and there is just an Excess of Frying Grease absorbed by the napkins. The Hush Puppies were also laden with too much grease, maybe just too much of the batter being too thick on the outside making it difficult to cook all the way through. I really enjoyed this place but it needs to improve its quality and preparation of its Food. The same with its partner, KFC.... just too Greasy..... Please fix it... Will try again another time and Hoping it has improved and will give a better Rating. Employees are polite and friendly. Clean restrooms and dining areas, at all times I have been there.

In town for the weekend and came across this place. What a surprise. The bacon wrapped scallops in the mixed seafood grill will melt in your mouth. The shrimp diablo is fantastic. Lunch on a week day. Had catfish and clams. Cole slaw and Blackeyed peas were good. Breading on catfish slightly spicy. Hush puppies were slightly doughy in the middle. 3 piece dinner and large tea was $18.00. Their prices include tax. No cards, cash or check only. The food is good but overpriced in my opinion.

We d coded to give the restaurant a try after reading good reviews and we were not disappointed. We were promptly seated, the place was clean and busy. The Mac and cheese was to die for, tasty crawfish in a delicious well seasoned Mac and cheese. The onion rings were tasty as well. The red beans were not to our liking, but that is just a matter of taste and not seasoned the way we like. The shrimp and grits was a huge serving of grits with sautéed onions, red and green peppers, jalapeño and at least ten tender shrimp. My husband enjoyed the fried chicken and we took a piece of key lime pie home. The pie was more of a cheese cake and it was just ok. I definitely plan on returning to try the gumbo and other dishes.
