The community took its name in the 18th century from a local tavern named the King of Prussia Inn, which was named after King Frederick the Great of Prussia. Like the rest of Montgomery County, King of Prussia continues to experience rapid development. The largest shopping mall in the United States, the King of Prussia Mall, is located here. Also located here is the headquarters of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region I. King of Prussia is considered to be an edge city of Philadelphia, consisting of large amounts of retail and office space situated at the convergence of four highways.

The restaurant called the Tavern is undergoing a renovation, and only has a limited selection. They directed us to the Chop House. There they gave us two menus - one for the Revolution Chop House, and one for the Tavern. The Chop House menu was very pricey, so we ordered off of the Tavern menu (while in the Chop House).The food was good and delivery was fast. Service was good. Everything seemed clean.If they did not have the Tavern menu, we could not have eaten there because of the cost.Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience! We appreciate you letting us know that when ordering off the Valley Tavern menu in Revolution Chop House that your meal was good, delivery was fast, and service was good. I knew that l wanted the biscuits. Also, l knew that l wanted some clam chowder. I was happy with both.Well, the lunch special, cajun rainbow trout topped with shrimp was excellent as well.Virginia is an outstanding server.

We arrived before 11 am and had a long wait for our meal. Others came in and their food arrived right away.I had the crabmeat omelet, rye toast .The omelet had a dab of cheese, the crabmeat was a meager spoon size.Hubby had 6 small crispy shrimp, two poached eggs, green beans on English muffin. They served bread before We waited so long for the check, I went looking in the kitchen.

King of Prussia, amazingly enough, has excellent restaurants. And this one is the best Iâve been on this first visit.The food is excellent, the wine list fully international and complete: US, France, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, etcetera, they are all well represented.

A large group of us came here for a business dinner. We had made reservation and we had a room for ourselves. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I would come back again.

I don't know the history but it must have been set up decades ago - a good thing. I say this because its on a small strip of land surrounded by two major roads & a bridge & there's not much else in the locality. I was with a work crowd & let others order but I tasted lamb shrimps & tuna. All superb. Someone else paid so hard to say if it was good value or not.Thank you for your candid feedback.
