If you like fried fish as well as shellfish this is the best place to get it but reservations are a must, some staff are English speaking. The atmosphere is noisy and lively and full of big and small groups and families. The fish is fresh and the fried whole fish are very tasty. Shellfish includes pick and peel whole shrimp and mussels. The best is the combination served with small halves of boiled potato in olive oil with chopped onions and whole green olive. Platters fly out of the kitchen in a constant parade. While you are at it; order a bottle of the white wine to accompany the meal- it is light and slightly fizzy and crisp and reminded us of some we had had in Sintra. The service and quality of the food make this a true value for the price.

What a fantastic surprise. We were in Kaiserslautern on business and our hotel recommend this gem of a place. Its Italian cuisine. Top quality and extremely reasonable prices. The pizzas are delicious and only between 7 and 9 euros. Its a very nice atmosphere. You feel like you are dining in a restaurant much more expensive than it is. The staff were very friendly too. We can't wait to go back.

Very nice, small restaurant with a Portuguese/Polish Menu. Excellent fish, fresh ingredients, very reasonably priced, nice vino and pleasant service. What more could one want. The tables have nice, starched white tablecloths and fresh flowers. Good, fresh, simple food.

I'm not sure it is actually for family, though kids under a certain age eat 1/2 price. It doesn't have the largest selection I've seen in rolls, it was done by piece, but it was good. The food was prompt and if you are cared you get a great deal. Just remember you can have as many rounds as you want, so go slow!!!

The restaurant/deli appear to be a converted butcher shop so it is very small with 3 indoor tables. Much of the food and wine is imported from Italy and the pasta is handmade. My meal was top notch and the service was excellent. I was even given bread and a small appetizer compliments of the kitchen. The food is also very reasonably priced. Excellent hidden gem.

The title sums it all - in the quiet and sleepy town of Kaiserslautern, this restaurang is sort of a gem that gives you good yummy food option. It's pretty standard, americanized (read that this is not germanized) sushi place. The quality of the food is excellent with fresh sashimi and great tasting sushi and sushi roll. The only downside is it's a bit pricey. But hey, in life you get what you pay for!
