I love that Troy has this place. I loved it even when I just walked past it. I do not eat seafood and I really should not share with strangers what I think about eating oysters...however! 3 non-seafood eaters had an excellent dining experience here. Love the ambience. The food was excellent. The brussel sprout starter was huge and even the non-sprout lover ate it: crispy, crunchy and savory. The blackened swordfish was delicious - probably the best sword fish I have ever eaten and the other person getting this dish - a pescatarian - said the same. The steak-frites guy was very happy with his choice. Good coffee, really good coffee, and a nice choice of adult beverages. Good service. We will be back!

Upscale Japanese Sushi Restaurant and Bar located in downtown Troy, NY.
Located in downtown Troy is a GEM of a small and cozy sushi restaurant. Casual but contemporary Japanese atmosphere. Eight seats at the sushi bar and about 8 tables. The restaurant is newly opened under new management. This place is the real place for sushi!!! Everything we had for lunch was wonderful. The edamame were warm and perfectly salted. The vegetarian gyoza were a trial for me but the flavors were perfect. The chicken tempura was perfectly prepared artistically presented. I had a rainbow roll(perfect, fresh, no sauce, perfect rice) and Black table roll(fresh scallops, crab, avocado, white tuna) which was wonderful. The spicy trio combination sushi was perfect and artistic. The Chirachi was artistically prepared with fresh fish. I have been to some of the best sushi restaurants in the USA and Unagi ranks among the best.

black & blue sets the bar for the New American Steakhouse; elegant yet unpretentious, sophisticated yet approachable. b&b offers an inventive design and unparalleled ambiance for you and your guests. Our inspired cuisine coupled with our gracious hospital
Its lovely to be greeted with acknowledgement of our anniversary plus 2 glasses of Champagne. Husband had Lobster Bisque, Oysters, Rib eye done a perfect med. rare, & Asparagus which was a little too crisp tender. I had their wonderful she-crab soup,a half salad which had a very tasty vinaigrette dressing, & Salmon which was delicious. We ended our dinner with Key lime Pie, & an order of Sorbet. What better way to celebrate. We normally don't dine on this much food, but it was worth the diet we now have to go on. Accolades to Amanda & Ryan who were very attentive to our every need.Thank you for choosing b&b for your anniversary! We hope to have you as our guests again, soon.
The Tugboat Tavern is a pub style neighborhood restaurant. We dined there for dinner. The homemade Manhattan Clam chowder was full of clams, chunky vegetables and a bit of heat in the broth. The burgers were cooked to order and came with homemade hand cut fries. The burgers were good. However, the grilled chicken salad was a disappointment as the chicken was hot and the greens were warm and wilted. The salad dressing was flat in taste and therefore this dish was lacking. The waitstaff was friendly. We would be willing to come again for burgers.

My husband and his family have been coming here since the 70âs. We pass through Troy about twice a year and always eat here. This weekend our meals were let down by the oily, batter less onion rings. He took them back. Second batch came out - THE SAME! The fish was delicious. I could have ate more. Fries were just fries. Blah. Coleslaw was very dry. No one ate it. The sitting area was absaloutly freezing too. No AC, just cold. Wasnât worth $30 at all! Our worst experience there to date.
