I have read the previous reviews and cannot explain them. Yes, there is a fish tank at the front door but it was clean and had only live fish in it. No greasy smells or cigarette odour at all. The restaurant is not fancy but what fish and chips place is?We went on a Friday night and it was quite busy, especially at the take out. I prefer to eat fish and chips in restaurants as I find food gets soggy when you take it home.Three of us had the special haddock and chips which we all enjoyed. My husband is fussy about fresh chips but he liked these ones. My daughter enjoyed her chicken fingers.Service was quick and friendly. Prices were good so we would definitely return. Go and decide for yourself.

We stayed at the Patterson kaye resort and decided to make reservations for dinner Saturday night. the place was pretty much empty so we did not need a reservation. Service was good and the food was tasty. We wanted an inexpensive meal, so we ordered from the casual menu part, as the dinner menu was pricey. The food was good, but the servings were small.

totally gross food, staff looks like they just woke up out of a ditch and smell of smoke. Food was greasy. I will never eat there again
Don't get me wrong. This place is good. Much better than you're typical fast food. However, just because it's "homemade" or a "chef" spent a little extra time making it look nice doesn't make it gourmet. It's still a food truck. They had nice options, the fish and chips were great. Yes it is expensive. My fish and chips with a pop came up to just under $20.00 and then I had to get another drink. ( each can is $2.00 ) so I spent $4.00 on what is basically .50 of pop. The fish was a decent size but for the price I'd expect more fish and fries. But it's Bracebridge and I guess they have to make all they can in the summer to make up for the dead nothing that happens all winter. All in all, yes I would come back to this place. I do have my issues with it but the food was good and there are a few options offered that I'd really like to try again.

We shared a lunch there today and it was fantastic! We had 2 glasses of wine, the classic BLT, really delicious french fries and for dessert the Bourbon Butterscotch Cheesecake - it was to die for as they say. Delicous! I would recommend this restaurant, but be prepared to wait, the service is a bit slow, but to be expected

We enjoyed our meal here however, the lighting was very poor. If you have a vision problem, I would not recommend this restaurant. There weren't even candles to light a corner! It was extremely dark before the lighting was adjusted - which helped. Waitress was pleasant.
