We were the only clients for dinner. June is low season here so we had a "personal waiter" and a "personal chef"! Everything was very good. Service was quick and very friendly and food (fish expecially) fresh and well cooked. Dish presentation also was accurate and spectacular. Prices were more european than mauritian. About 30€ per person. But it worths!

I have been passing this place for quite some time now and always wanted to try it out. Well, I finally did for a quick lunch and I left as a very happy customer. It's a small place with limited selection but all the foods are prepared with lots of dedication and skill. It's very much delicate home cooking and a nice change from all the other restaurants in the area.... for once i left a restaurant on the island without feeling bloated and full.
Next will try breakfast ....

The Baystone Boutique Hotel & Spa offers a sophisticated cuisine with local flavours. A card menu for a varied breakfast, as well as for lunch, characterised by summer flavours from here and elsewhere. In order to delight your taste buds, a wide variety of sweets is also proposed for tea time. As for dinner, the Chef’s Table d’hôte has pride of place, offering a sophisticated menu, yet allowing for alternatives according to your wishes and we also proposed a card menu for dinner.

Baystone Restaurant is my favourite spot when I want to get away from a hectic day.
The food is always good.
The service always nice and friendly and I have never been disappointed whenever I eat there.
The best beef tartare in Mauritius.
Definitely recommend to visit .

Our large group of 20 was accommodated with only a couple of hours' notice. Super friendly staff, extensive cocktail menu, and food choices for all. Kids loved the sushi and the catch of the day (dorado) was excellent. Also enjoyed the burgers, tuna with soba noodles. Teens and some adults went in the pool while was waited for dinner - a perfect way to end the long day of beach excursion. Highly recommend!

Small neighbourhood bakery - which also serves breakfast. Friendly, welcoming service, wide range of delicious breakfast pastries, excellent espresso and very satsifying sandwiches on bread - made the way it should be. Simply, with limited well-chosen ingredients. I will go back today to try the salads.
