Once you've landed in one of the remote corners of Poland, called Beskid Niski, and more particularly in the town of Gorlice, it is worth trying to find the restaurant that is located in the former railway hall, now turned into a traditional Polish style eatery.
The spot is quite simple, but relatively welcoming. You feel the old amosphere of a Polish restaurant, offering simple food at affordable prices (you can get a decent meal for 2-3 euro!). No sophistication on offer, though. However, if you want to enjoy some very decent and tasteful traditional meal with no need to pay throught the nose, this is the place to pop in to!

Chili is mainly a bar for the young but we (over 70) were made to feel comfortable. The garden had a good ambiance and was clean. The food (mainly Italian style) was pretty good and prices for food and drink were very reasonable. The service was personal and friendly, though amateurish. I can recommend it to anyone needing a simple decent meal or a couple of beers with friends.

Restauracja Gęsia Skórka to miejsce tworzone z wielką pasją. Gotując korzystamy glównie z lokalnych produktów. W naszej ofercie znajdziecie ekologiczną wolowinę z hodowli oikos w Krzywej, ekologiczne kozie sery z gospodarstwa w Banicy. Do wyrobu pieczywa używamy mąki z mlyna w Rzepienniku, a pstrągi przyjeżdżają do nas z pobliskiego Losia. To tylko kilka powodów, dla których warto nas odwiedzić
Nice little place. The menu is varied but not extensive, and everything we had was delicious. There is no English menu, but our waitress/ host spoke English well and described the dishes to us. I can recommend particulary the duck starter and the ribs. We were apparently their first native English speakers ever--I hope this place gets discovered by every traveller going through Gorlice.

After a long day exploring wooden churches in Gorlice district we ended up in the town itself, with a huge need for pizza. There's about four pizza shops in Gorlice, we tried one at the market square, but after few minutes waiting for anyone to take aknowledge us, we moved on, and found this place. It isn't big, and located in side road, but pizza was very tasty, and the bill less than we expected
We tryed other places in Gorlice, but with no possitive effect, so finally we got here, to a pizza place slightly off main roads, but still very close to the market square - going down from the centre of the town towards Ropa river it is on right hand side. The front of the building is not that much welcoming, we even thought it was closed, and the apperance of the place inside could be better - it really needs some more investment. But the pizza from charcoal stove was very good indeed, and worth any detour. Definitelly skip places around main square and look for this place.

What a great find this place is.
I had a superb fillet steak and eggs with homemade chips and onion rings, my better half had traditional English style fish and chips which was excellent, we had 2 mouth watering Deserts and a drink each, all for less than 100 zloty.
I can honestly say this was the best steak I've had in Poland, and I've tried many steaks in many places.
Also on the menu, but as yet untried, are pizzas from a stone, wood fired oven, burgers, pastas, traditional Polish soups and mains, wraps and snacks.
I couldn't fault the place or the food, and we'll certainly be back for more.
