We ordered four plates but they brought 2 mixed. No menu! They tried to charge us 80 euros. 10 times more than the standard price. They put things that we didn't eat on the receipt. They threatened us when we argued about it!!! This place is a tourist scam.

This lovely restaurant is on the main street/pedestrian walk in downtown Dogubeyazit and worthy of a visit. From the outside it appears to be a two-story Log Cabin with a balcony on the second floor. The restaurant is small, and often times the town "men" are eating at the tables on the ground floor. Enter and order your food from the choices on the burner/stove or ask if there is anything on the menu not in your view. Head upstairs to the next floor and go outside to one of the two tables on the balcony. They're tiny, but you do get a great view of the pedestrian way--it's entertaining as well outside.
For the food, it was definitely home-made (read: delicious!) and ample serving were given. We had white (tasted like basmsti) pilaf, lamb kebap, cacik (like indian tzatziki--yogurt w/ cucumbers and mint), kuru fasulye (white beans w/ sauced tomato), tomato/cucumber salad -- all was delicious. If you want the yougurt drink (ayran), it is available. What would a Turkish meal be without chai? Order yours at meal's end and you'll have had a perfect repast.
Price was very acceptable; filling meal--recommend a visit!

This is a family run bussiness and is a quite new restaurant (3,5 months). The chef is a local lady who was on a TV show last year because she can cook local food so good. It is on the first floor of a building but conveniently located on the main street of the city. It is clean and the whole family is very nice. Abdigor kofte (meatballs), home-made yoghurt and hulilikli helva (dessert) were superb and unique. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you ever happen to be in Dogubeyazıt.

bu işletme mevkii olarak şehir merkezine çok da yakın olmayan bir yerde bulunuyor. ama lezzetli bir yemek için gidilebilecek bir yer.
