My wife and I stayed here for Memorial Day Weekend. It was absolutely fabulous! Great staff, clean spacious rooms, and great amenities! I am currently booking another stay with my family. It is the only place we will stay when we come back.

A really fun place to stay if you like to golf, hike and enjoy the mountains. Full working kitchen which we used for all meals. I used the grills provided and found them to be clean and in good working order which I can't say about many other resorts. Overall, a really good place to stay.

We had a great stay here. The rooms are very comfortable, the balconies are a great, we were on our balcony and spotted 3 bear cubs in the parking lot. The facilities here are wonderful and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quiet, we really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book again.

The perfect locale for a Great Smoky Mountains getaway, River Terrace Resort & Convention Center is a resort in Gatlinburg that offers easy access to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and other downtown Gatlinburg attractions and outdoor recreational activities. Onsite amenities at River Terrace include Drafts Sports Grill and two heated outdoor pools (seasonal). Great views, but Wifi quality was not suitable for remote work as the connection repeatedly cuts out. You’ll have to ask to have your room cleaned and you’ll have to seek out your breakfast elsewhere in town because their restaurant is still not open.

Avoid at all costs! I purchased the 4 day/3 night package for $199, agreeing to attend a 2 hour presentation at which time I would be refunded the full amount. Before purchasing, I was informed that I had 18 months to book my stay, and was also promised that the stay would be at the resort property in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villa, at no additional charge. I was further told that since I was a valued Platinum Elite IHG member that I would be able to get a free upgrade at the time of booking (additional night stay, show tickets, dinner comp, etc). I made careful notes of everything discussed on the call, and against my better judgment agreed to purchase the 4 day/3 night stay. A few months later, I get an email stating my package is set to expire, so I call in to explain that I was told I had 18 months to use, however, the representative I spoke with simply stated that was not accurate and I would need to pay $39 for an extension. After arguing with the lady on the phone for quite a while, they finally agreed to waive the fee, however this was only the beginning of lies I was told. Fast forward to the next spring when I am ready to book my stay, the agent i am working with informs me that my stay is not at the resort property, rather is at a local Best Western motel and the only way to stay at the resort probably is to pay another $200 (or more depending on the dates). I informed the agent that this was not what I was promised and urged him to go back and review the call log to verify, but he simply responded by saying the resort is reserved for paying customers. Finally, I inquired about getting an additional night stay as a Platimum Elite member (also as promised), but the agent laughed and said they didn’t get to be such a successful company by giving things away for free. Simply put, this company will flat out lie and say whatever they need to go get you to purchase the package, but will not follow through on any of it. Unless you want to stay at a Best Western and sit through a half day sales pitch, AVOID!!
