Attended a Lion's Club Dinner this past Monday night in support of my father. Unfortunately, the food was cold. Ordered chicken parmesan as my meal. Salad was old. The pasta and chicken (dry) were both overcooked. The after dinner coffee was also cold. Staff not very attentive. Definitely disappointed.

Fenton River Grill Provides Brussel sprouts, craft beers, 20 beers on draft and Hosmer root beer braised short ribs to the Mansfield, CT Area.
This restaurant had so much promise. It's in an area without much competition for good food, there's plenty of parking, and I'd heard the owner has experience in other restaurants. I tried it three times, getting a different meal each time, and it was disappointing every single time. While the bar can make a decent cocktail, the food quality and flavor is truly marginal. I will not be back.Hello ctmb-traveller, Thanks for giving us a try 3 times! Most reviewers don't even make the attempt. We have even had customers who have been to our other restaurants for years and been very satisfied, then have one unsatisfactory experience and give a 1-star review (who does that?). We are sorry that we disappointed you on each visit. We would like you to know that we do purchase high quality food, including Black Angus beef and Coleman chicken. We purchase quality products from many local and regional purveyors, including Nodine's Smokehouse and Farmers Cow Dairy. Me make and process our food in-house, with 2 full-time prep cooks. Perhaps your culinary desire is not our culinary aim, or perhaps we made mistakes on each of your 3 visits. We agree with your assessment that the area does not have much competition for good food, that is why we opened, but we are not attempting to be a high-end, Chef-driven restaurant. However, we do our best to make things flavorful, I am sorry we missed the mark there for you. When we designed this offer, we were not sure that there was a market in that area for Chef-driven restaurant, that would be large enough for us to meet all of our goals. We can suggest you give our restaurant in Putnam a try - 85 Main - that is a Chef-driven offer, but the average customer spend is over $10 more per person at that restaurant. It is because it is more expensive to operate a Chef-driven restaurant. If you do ever want to give us another try - might we suggest the Brussels Sprouts, the Blackened Chicken or the Quesadilla. All are very flavorful and some of our best sellers. Thanks again, we wish you more success in your culinary travels.
Willimatic's Original Irish Pub, featuring a full menu of traditional Irish and American cuisine.
Good place to stop in for a beer, but if it is during the schoolyear, expect a crowd. Not a place to sit and have a private conversation, but probably the most lively bar in Willimantic...

Two couples had dinner here mid-week. When we entered the whole open restaurant was open and bright and we were greeted by a friendly hostess. When seated our server quickly took our drink order. We specifically went here because the Oriental Chicken salad was a favorite of one of our group and so she ordered it. A burger and fish and chips were also ordered. All were very good portions and we finished without taking anything home. The fourth order was off the menu - a BLT on toast. It came with about 10 fries. The sandwich was tasty but pricey when we saw it on the tab - over $13.00. Live and learn. Tip: Stick to the menu, don't order what you may be hankering for if it's not on the menu. All in all, we had a good experience and would return.

First time visiting this Irish pub will keep me coming back. I used to go to the other place in Willi, but I really don't like waiting so when I heard of this place we headed over there. Good service, food served quickly, hot and was fantastic. Would recommend with no hesitation and will go again next time I'm in town.

The Willimantic Brewing Company/Main Street Café is a living landmark restaurant and pub brewery located in Willimantic, in the heart of rural northeastern Connecticut. Our original Main Street Café was founded in 1991, and began operations as a small deli
The food is good, very friendly staff, great atmosphere. I ordered the chicken scampi w/risotto and Bulgarian chocolate cake. The risotto had great flavor, but definitely needed to be more creamy. Was more of rice consistency than risotto. The chocolate cake was a must have. Overall great experience and would recommend.
