Some may notice the mock reference from the title to a classic Rainbow song from the 80's, which reminds us of the welcoming reception and 80/90's classic music we get every time we come back to Hugsy's. 6-years ago now since it opened, and coincidentally, the sixth year we've been back, with the same friendly and familiar faces. Great bar to start your evening off and equally one for the road on you way back to your hotel.Fond memories that grow consistently over time with Helen the perfect owner / host.

Hennie's Pub is located at a vantage point in Platanias central Square. You can enjoy your dinner in our open roof terrace along with a large selection of local and imported craft beers good wine and special cocktails. Welcome.
A smart bar centrally situated, this bar offers more than the standard "lager" beers. For lovers of Pale Ales/IPAs etc there is a decent choice...which can be sampled in 150ml smaller drinks on a paddle if preferred. My favourite is the Chania Pale Ale...which made a great change from the stock lager type drinks I was getting elsewhere. Not as cheap as other bars.....obviously, but worth the extra few euros Thank you so much!

To describe New Planet as the best 'sports' bar in Platanias is doing it an injustice, it is in fact the best bar in Platanias full stop. The staff including the owner Giorgos (George) are the funniest in town and will do anything to make your evening enjoyable. George doesn't like to see anyone sit alone and will try to arrange that you sit with fellow countrymen or other nationalities who speak your language. If however you indicate you want a quiet perhaps romantic evening he will sit you somewhere more private and quiet. Fantastic atmosphere on match nights and George will search his pc for a match if you ask for a game he hasn't advertised. All in all top notch service in a top notch bar.

Do they use moonshine/raki as base in their drinks? If someone says they serve good drinks, they haven't tasted good drinks. The irish coffe taste like something they drink in the middle of Norway. Try a beer instead:)
