The location of this place has been a constant but it's new digs, facelift, and employees are great. The surroundings on the patio are perfect. Light summer beach music playing in the background as Corona and margaritas go down so nice. The fried shrimp appetizer was great and the quesadilla and tacos hit the spot as well. Lucas was an AWESOME server and overall the entire staff was super pleasant! Want to look at the water, chit chat and relax.... I found your place!!!

Hurricane Florence wreaked havoc with our vacation, but The Dive (named for scuba diving) was one of the few restaurants open the night before mandatory evacuation. They are supposedly famous for their wings and burgers. 3 in our party ordered those while another ordered fish & chips, and ahi tuna tacos. All were good. We could tell the waitress, Laura, was slammed that night, not expecting so many people, but she was pleasant got our orders correct, and even took one of the burgers off the bill because it was late arriving. We could tell the place was mostly locals that night, and probably most nights. I would revisit there.

This is a fun and inexpensive place to have a drink and a bite of "bar food". The service was great and the food was tasty. Our only criticism is that my wife's mixed drink was almost flavorless. Probably stale juice or something like that. It's a bar, the drinks should all be good.

when you think Irish Pub think the Local's Favorite spot! The Cheers of the Island. Stop in for great food and great service. Serving full menu until 11PM every day. Live Music on Friday and Saturday.
Restaurant Style: Irish/American pub food and full barLast Visit: March 8, 2019Ambiance: Best time for an Irish pub visit has to be close to St. Patrickâs Day. The nice dark wood and tables looping the U-shape bar fulfill the pubby expectation but this is a Carolina Beach bar so there is outside seating on three sides. Probably the outside seating would offer more comfortable options for families with children. Service: Bar or dining options, we were met with grace and cheeriness. Even when we dumped a glass of ice water all over the table and floor, the staff evinced the most concern for our dry clothes and the absence of broken glass shards. Eaters not drinkers, we concentrated on the fish and chips and sinful chocolate cake. Both made a big hit. Other less common options include Bangers and Mash (takes me back to London), Shepherdâs Pie, and the local Brunswick Stew (after all, Brunswick is only a county away). Although the full bar offers lots of options, Iâm a sucker for the lucious Guinness on tap. Although I would call the bill of fare mostly bar grub, it arrives well-prepared with as much care as their good beers. Worth a trip to the beach. For Kids: Kids cheese qusedilla, chicken tenders, 6 oz.burger, fish and fries or grilled cheese with cheddar fries. Difference Dividend: Lots of live entertainment on the calendar ahead here. Call ahead for the options. On the food side, try fried Mac and cheese balls.Expense Account: Figure about $15 each without alcohol.Adult Beverages: Full bar.I love your details and how you provide some great information in your review! Thanks so much for your review â we appreciate it!

We were curious and decided to check it out, Dark inside, pool table available, L shaped bar 3/4 occupied with locals and visitors that we found out had been coming to Kure Beach for 30+ years, Bartender made me a surprisingly good vodka gimlet on the rocks despite the fact she didn't know the name of it. My DH, the beer snob made do with his fallback - Yengling. We found the patrons friendly and full of "tips" on where to stay and visit. The bill for 2 beers and a healthy sized mixed drink was $11. We'll be back I'm sure :-)
