What to do and see in Albany, United States: The Best Places and Tips
This is a local favorite, I lived in Albany years ago and my brothers and I try to get together here during the holidays. It is a older style bar that serves good Mexican bar food. The place is clean and safe, my ex and I have been there several times with no safety concerns. It is a nice bar with good food.

Stopped by for dinner. We ordered off the two for $25 menu. I had something Butcher's Meat and Potato. When it arrived I took a bite of the meat along with the mashed potato. Both were cool to the touch. When the waiter came by I explained the situation and asked that it be heated some more. She returned in about 5 minutes and I noted that I could see where I had taken the bite out of the mashed potatoes. That's also what I expected to see if they simply microwaved it to reheat. The meat was now acceptably warm but the potatoes remained warm in some places and cold in others. I chose to just buck it up and eat it anyway. When the waiter came back by to inquire if it was better, I told her that the potatoes were still cold but I was okay since microwaving them again seem pointless. She assured me that the meal had been completely re-plated and not simply microwaved. I knew this was highly unlikely but she was trying to be helpful so I did not challenge her. She did return after a short absence with a side of VERY hot mashed potatoes and I appreciated her efforts.

They're famous for their pizzas and garlic knots. It's very noisy as it's a sports bar so we don't stay to eat but get take out. This place is also famous for being nonprofit friendly and allows fundraising to happen on their premises. Highly recommend if you can stand the noise. Oh, and the new manager is awesome!!!

They offer burgers and sandwichesâyour typical pub fare. The food was ok. Only sampled their ipa but wasnât much impressed. The space is a dive including bizarrely decorated âatrium.â Probably a good enough place if you live in the area. But for someone who likes to explore and try out local craft beers and brewpubs, Iâd recommend skipping this stop.

At Frankie's we pride ourselves in embracing the Farm to Table experience, and sustainable food and business practices. To us this means finding and sourcing the freshest, seasonal and local products to use in our kitchen. Its also about really digging in
We were blown away by this modest-looking restaurant. The blackened salmon literally melted away in my mouth. Bacon wrapped dates were piping hot, food was as advertised and then some. Calamari is light and crispy, drinks were delicious! Alexander was our waiter and he was awesome. Totally recommend this spot.
