We are visiting from Miami, staying at an AirBnB, and decided to stay in after a long day. We decided on pizza. The first restaurant would not answer the phone so we chose Pizza Press. The menu advertised individual pizzas, with multiple options for $8.75....a price too good to be true? Yes!I called first to get a sense of the place and then placed our order on line. The restaurant is 5 minutes from our place and I left right after the order. A good thing since when I arrived the pizzas were ready. So the concept is like Blaze, and if you don't know Blaze, Subway for pizza. The dough is pressed - so the name of the restaurant - and you can choose a bunch of ingredients, both standard and unique. The pizza is put into a conveyer belt oven and pops out hot.I neglected to order a salad. The very sweet and efficient young lady who helped me pulled out a bucket of romaine that had seen its day. She ran back to the kitchen to pull some fresh salad and added a few fresh ingredients.I got home and the pizza was still hot. Not the best pizza in my life (and I have had some very good pizza) but quite good and my family enjoyed their individual (10") pies.A good place.

Just as Uber has revolutionized ground transportation, various apps have started to offer the same sort of service, but for food. A first attempt to try this--using the menu that was included with the Best Westernâs services guide--was a dead end: after selecting the dishes online, the click to purchase/deliver was met with an error page.Fortunately, my second choice, Grub Hub fired on all cylinders. An added bonus was that I could order the meal from a restaurant several miles away--one that I had been too during my last trip to Pasadena.Arriving in about 30 minutes and delivered with a smile from the easygoing driver, I was impressed with the quick turnaround--not much longer than waiting for the âmainâ in most restaurants. The Dakota Smashed Pea and Barley soup was remarkably hot, had an intriguing texture, but was just a bit bland in the flavour department (fortunately, I had some âheatâ with me--normally used when I cook my own dinner). With noodles that were truly al dente, the Spaghetti Bolognese--with a generous amount of sauce--readily satisfied the appetite. One can only wonder if--like movie theatres versus online streaming--the day may come when virtual restaurants will become the norm, rather than the exception.

Dinner with friends with lovely wine and delicious food. The restaurant seats a lot of people so the place is loud. It was difficult to visit with our friends. The tables are quite close together which doesn't help. Our server was friendly and informative. The food & wine were wonderful. Pricing is a little high.

Friends invited us for dinner and we were surprised that we had not yet tried this restaurant. We love Italian, we love Pizza... and our friends love this place.First, the pizza is just OK. We commented that pizza from WholeFoods (by the slice) is much better. We had a salad which was not the one we ordered (beet serviced but ordered house). It was good.We also had the bruschetta which was not good: very oily and soggy.Drinks were also less than good.Overall, I would say it was disappointing. I've rated average because it was just that.
True New York style pizza!
This pizza is absolutely the best on the west coast. My family has been going here for over 20 years now. I always order a slice of cheese pizza anywhere we go because I feel like that's how you get a good idea of the quality of the sauce & cheese. I could eat Tony's cheese pizza every day for the rest of my life and be happy :) everything is great here. Try the Sicilian if you like a thicker crust too, You won't be disappointed. Service is excellent also. They make you feel like family every time you visit.

Was surprised to see the place full on a recent Sunday night, but after having a delicious dinner, I can see why. This restaurant offers high quality food in a place with great atmosphere. We enjoyed our bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese app, followed by the Dalai Lama and The Padre pizzas. We liked the historic building and how itâs been re-purposed into a restaurant.
