As of the 2010 census, the population was 10,465, making it the third largest city in Luzerne County. It occupies 3.5 square miles of land. The city can be divided into several sections: Honey Pot (northwestern Nanticoke), Downtown (northern and central Nanticoke), and Hanover Section (southeastern Nanticoke). It was once an active coal mining community. Today, the 167-acre main campus of Luzerne County Community College is located within the city.

Ruby's Inn is an awesome local bar and pizza shop in Nanticoke PA. We've been coming down for years and it's always great. We stopped in Saturday night for a pitcher of Miller Lite and 1/2 plain 1/2 pepperoni pizza. The pizza was delicious. The crust and sauce are terrific. Jim Ruby waited on us and his service was top notch. They have a full bar in the front and a dining room in the back. It's clean and the prices are very reasonable. They have a few TV's and have off street parking in the rear of the building. I like spending my money at places like this... places runs by friendly hardworking local families.

I don't think I've ever had anything bad here! Their meatball hoagie is awesome, their pizza is one of my favorites in the area, love the chicken cheesesteak with spinach, wings, hoagies, salads, all of it is YUMMY!! Service is always friendly and their prices are reasonable. There is plenty of room to eat in and they offer all kinds of different beers, wine coolers, etc for purchase. Love this place!

Usually a visit to Nanticoke includes a pizza from Marty's. Their crust is very good and we always enjoy a pie with onions. I was upset when I drove through town and saw the place boarded up. I called and they are just remodeling to add dining space. Luckily, with some navigation, you can still get their pizza and wings!

I stopped here yesterday and got an extra large pizza, it was excellent. Easily the best pizza Iâve had in the Nanticoke area and one of the best in NEPA. Itâs a round pie with a thin crust and a great sauce. The staff was polite and my pizza was on time and nice and hot. When you walk in they have a take out area on one side and a pub on the other. The take out side has beer to go and the pub has a full bar. They have salads, pizza, wings and other bar food on the menu. The prices are reasonable, the extra large round pizza was $13.50.

This is the Best pizza in NEPA. I have eaten pizza all over NEPA and none can compare! The owner and his son are very kind . Go out of their way to be nice. Potato panckes on Friday too.
