This is a frequent stop for me. Haven't had one bad meal... the broasted chicken is so good they always seem to run out. The tacos , the chicken nachos, grilled tenderloin wow everything is so delicious. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the service can be slow at times so don't be in a hurry , sit back and enjoy the view of lake Shaffer.

We do not do many reviews on franchise type restaurants. But Monacals does not seem like a typical franchise to us (each place is different). This place is located in a building connected to a gas station. So we did not expect to see a well done restaurant interior. They did however do a very good job creating a separation and decent dining experience. The pizza was good. I actually thought the Superior Deluxe Pan pizza was very good. The thin crust was just okay. Overall we liked this pizza better than the higher rated pizza place in town.

Our first meal when we arrive is pizza and it can only be Pizza King. It is very good pizza. We always take one home because in Chicago while we have great pizza here, there is nothing like a Pizza King.

Stopped here while in Monticello for a basketball tournament. I have been to the Arni's in Indianapolis, but first time here.Pizza was great, love the salad, and my son had a BBQ beef sandwich that was excellent. Nice, small town restaurant, great people working. A must see.

Abe's is a great spot for lunch - I frequent here several times a week. Great selection of salads, pizza and other creative sandwiches,etc. And don't forget the breadsticks!
