Hospitality and amazing flavors. A funky roadside spot with a varied menu. The housemade tamarind sauce/salsa is one of the best salsas ever. Open late. Super reasonable prices. Crepes for breakfast!! donât be fooled by the very modest accommodation. Itâs a gem!!!

We stumbled on Antonio's Restaurante looking for a place to stay for the night. In addition to delicious food, Angie offers rooms upstairs for overnight guests. Our room was simple but with everything you need: AC, private bath (yes, hot water), linens, and it was on the ocean side with a balcony off the hall to gaze at the Caribbean. We were thrilled to snag it without booking ahead. The restaurant was closed but Angie prepared us a lunch with pizza and salad for a nominal price and Pilot, her adorable pup, entertained us. She knows everyone and everything about Mahahual and directed us to some great spots for drinks, a late night taqueria and more. After only one night we felt like family.

The food was very nice The two times me & my family had breakfast there it was amazing. Miss Manuela along with her cook were very friendly to us I had pancakes for both days different servings & it was yummy! Overall a great restaurant.

To me a nice glass of wine is essential in an Italian restaurant.So, I was a little disappointed to find out that the only wine option was house wine with no name. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. The wine was good enough that after tasting mine, the others ordered wine as well.

We walked down to Luna de Plata from Caballo Blanco Hotel for dinner. The atmosphere was comfortable and staff very welcoming. All courses were timely served and very tasty. We will return on future visits to this hidden dinner spot.

They have been here before and wanted to make a special trip just to go the Pizza Papiâs. We have one 11 year old and one 14 year old. The 14 year old ate a whole pizza and that is not easy. The 11 year old ate all but one slice. My husband and I can eat 1/2 of one pizza. Still the same great people, the same great service, the of course, the same great pizza. I hear that their pasta is excellent, too.!Gracias para escoger PIZZA PAPIMuchÃsimas gracias ;-)
